CORPS PLAGES PETITIONS AT VOTING BOOTHS

Members of the Women's Relief Corps which Is sponsoring the movement for the erection of a monument to Wayne county's soldiers and a ttatue to Indiana's War Governor, Oliver P. Morton, a native of this county, will ask voters next Tuesday to place their signatures to a request for an appropriation from the city council. The text of the petitions which win be placed at every voting place in Richmond, Is as follows: "To the Honorable Board of County Commissioners of Wayne County, State of Indiana: "We, . the undersigned, , voters of Wayne County, hereby most respect' fully petition your Honorable Board to ask the Council of our County to appropriate out of the County Funds, not otherwise appropriated by law to any specific purpose, a sum of money in amount from Ten to Fifteen Thounod Dollars, for the purpose of causing the building upon the Court House Square a suitable Monument in commemoration of the services and patriotism of the soldiers' who fought and died In defense of their country during the late rebellion, and in defense of the Union of the States and the rights of men; and thus also, honor Indiana's , War Governor, Oliver P. , Morton." CAMBRIDGE CITY, Ind., March 3.

Mrs. Anna Mustin, 63, wife of James Mustin, is dead after an illness of eighteen months duration. The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jesse W. Murray, the deceased born in Milton. She was united in marriage to James Mustin on March 8, 1864. She was a member of the Christian church and of the Degree of Pocohontas. Besides the husband, the survivors are three sons and three daughters: Jesse Mustin, Bernard and LoweU Mustin, Mrs. Huber Cox, Muskegon, Mich, Mrs. William Sowers, Mrs. Alice Hin. In addition there is one brother Venlah Murray of Milton.

wrapped up in this Garfield community center idea. The hall, with its ample seating capacity, could be the home of the series of artists' recitals to be planned by -the community art movement It could be the home of a revived Richmond orchestra; a spring festival and a community chorus. In It could be given a series of worthy and refreshing plays, fostered by the community organization, and promoted by a rejuvenated Drama league. r All these entertainments, which would be so vast a contribution to Richmond's life, could be presented at popular prices. Not popular prices, in the sense of the vaudeville or stock

theater, but prices so low that everyone Interested could afford to pay. Quick action is required. The

school board is nearly ready to accept plans for the new building. All Richmond should get behind this movement, . which is as . wide as the city and as worthy as the public schools, and should show the school board that the people are interested in a people's center. Civic bodies should pass resolutions in favor of the plan.

formed Rotary club, the Ministerial association, the Women's clubs, the Teachers' Federation, churches, lodges and individuals act at once.

Dayton s Chorus To Give Popular Concert Sunday

The Dayton Chorus concert at the Coliseum Sunday afternoon is to be the first outside musical event of the year in Richmond.
