WHY "LAX-OLA" IS KEY TO HEALTH Ends Constipation, Root of Many Ilia If people generally appreciated "the seriousness of constipation, and how to really overcome this distressing condition, they would know how to rid the world of most of its ailments. Authorities state that at least 95 per cent of all disorders is directly or indirectly due to chronic costiveness. - Sick, headaches, ."that tired feeling,'! lallowness, pimples, blotches, lour stomach, biliousness, congested liver, nervousness, rheumatism, are a few of many troubles often' caused by the poison absorbed from the waste matter tn the intestines. Regular bowel movement carries this poison out of the system, stops constipation and so is a preventive of many diseases. ' To create normal bowel activity, take a LAX-OLA tablet every night for a few nights. You win feel like a new being. It's the best way. LAX-OLA is that wonderful chocolate-flavored tonic-laxative that is meeting with such splendid success. Mild. noti-grlDlng, non-injurious. Tones you up, instead of weakening you and it contains no habit-forming element. .Truly .the. ideal laxative. LAX-OLA is 25c a box at Druggists. Money-back If not perfectly satisfied. Accept nothing else! Adv. '

COMMUNITY

Continued from page One ' ' by step in the order in which they appear above. , However, recent attempts at civic organizations have built upon the last named tep. . They have provided music "for the people" in order to provide means from surjrlus earnings with which to support local choruses and orchestras and give them a following. ' ,. That is the way in which Richmond's community organization must be built. ' ,...-. - Firet, the people must be organized. All individuals and groups interested in musical growth must have a hand in organization. Then the xtrganlzation must provide a series of artists' recitals as a means of awakening the community to the need of serious musical effort. and of providing money for the other activities. Get Concrete Organization. After tbat the local choruses and orchestras will have a concrete organization, definitely tied up with music in all its phases to give them support The community plan will not fail in

Richmond if the entire community is allied, with it It has not failed in other cities where it has ; been a peoples' movement' t Why. in Dayton, they carry the peoples' idea so far they sell season tickets for civic music courses in the factories. When they organized they didn't canvass the Main street merchants for support and stop " there. They went into the homes. Into the schools and into the shops. Thats why their movement is so monumentally successful. One of the most striking results of the community movement Is the revival of mass, or congregational singing. . ' The people are brought together, under the baton of a competent leader, and they sing the old songs, the heart songs, the songs we love best. Barn hart Originates Idea. - Harry Barnbart, who now is conductor of the New York Community Chorus, originated the idea in its present form when he was in Buffalo. "The people never sing out of tune; the people never sing foolish music," he says. '

He has directed vast assemblages or the people in mass singing. Thousands have stood in Central park and sung "Old Black Joe" and The Old Folks at Home" and others of the familiar tunes under hi3 direction. "The idea has spread until scores of cities now have regular "community sings" under direction of their community musical organizations. Williamson Leads 8inging. In Dayton, John Finley Williamson, conductor of the Dayton Chorus, leads

these "sings." With his chorus Be goes from community center to community center on Sunday afternoons and leads the people in the heart songs. : !; --s - . : The people respond. No balls in Dayton are large enough to hold the throngs who come to exercise their vocal cohrds and mingle their common experiences through the medium of music .. - Richmond can, if Richmond's people will.
