FORMER PASTORS TO FILL PULPIT AT DEDICATION
The only two foraer pastors First English Lutheran church has had will preach In the dedicatory services next Sunday. They are Rev. J. W. Kapp of First church, Cincinnati, and Rev. E. G. Howard, of Vheeling. W. Va. Dr. Kapp will preach in the morning and Dr. Howard at night Words of greeting will be uttered in the evening service by Rev. F. W. Rohlfing, of St Paul's Lutheran, and Rev. C. Raymond Isley, of Second Lutheran. Nusbaum Writes Hymn. lee B. Nusbaum, chorus director, has composed a dedication hymn for the services. , Coroner Morrow was the only county official whose business was on the slump during February. He had only two coroner calls: George Medler, 81, Pennville, suicide, February 13; Isaac Paxson, 82, died suddenly of natural causes. Last year during February, the coroner had seven calls. To date this year he has had only seven calls while at the end, of February. 1916, he had been called to investigate seventeen sudden death.s Although Dan Cupid fell behind his leap year record for February, an increased demand for final naturalization papers made up for slack marriage license business in the clerk's office. Only thirty-three couples applied for marriage licenses in February. The same month last year, forty-nine licenses were issued. At the end of February 1916, sixty-one marriage licenses had been issued. To date this year, there have been only lorty-nine applications. Apply For Final Papers. Seventy-four persons applied for final naturalization papers during the short month. The divorce record is about the same as last year, fifteen divorces were granted during the month, making the total number for 1917, thirtythree. Battel, have been made to this church during the last few months and the Sunday service will be the first in the remodeled auditorium. The building committee, which is composed of John E. Peltz, E. M. Haas and Frank Haner, has decided not to take an offering for the expenses at the dedication service. Miss Alice Knollenberg will preside at the new organ and Rev. F. A. Dressel, present pastor, will conduct the dedication service in the morning worship.

Men Organize Community Club
Men of Second Presbyterian church organized a community club last night. Officers were elected as follows: Forrest Davis, President ; W. I. Maseie, vice president; Omar Todd, secretary; E. W. Morris, treasurer; C. B. HoweSj George Davis, Paul Overman, C. B. Trusler and E. M. Byers, executive committeemen. Plans for monthly suppers with programs were outlined.
HOLD HISTORY CLUB AT BOWMAN HOME
HAGERSTOWN, Ind., March 1. The Woman's History Club met with Mrs. Martha Bowman on South Perry street, Monday afternoon. The answers to roll coll were "Your favorite hymn." Mrs. William Porter gave a "History of the Philippines." Mrs. A. A. Frittz gave a brief description of "Manilla and Its Conquests." Mrs. Fritz also gave a reading on "Lodrones or Marianna Islands." Mrs. Martha Bowman read a magazine article describing "Haiti and Jamaica," after which the club adjourned to meet with Miss Clark and Mrs. Unthank Monday, March 5, when "guest day" will be observed.
KNIGHTS TO OBSERVE " THEIR ANNIVERSARY
EATON', O., March 1. Celebrating the anniversaries of the lodge's institution and the establishment of the endowment rank, an exceptionally successful social session was held Wednesday evening in Castle Hall by Waverly lodge, No. 143, Knights of Pythias. The affair was termed an "open" meeting and around the banquet table were seated more than 175 persons.

RICHMOND PASTORS TAKE ACTIVE PART IN M. E. CONFERENCE
Programs for the District Conference of the Richmond District, North Indiana Conference of the Methodist Episcopal church, to be held at Greenfield, March 5, 6 and 7 have been issued. Rev. U. S. A. Bridge and Rev. H. C. Harman, pastors of the Grace and First churches of this city, respectively, are members of the program committee. Tuesday afternoon the Richmond ministers are on the program for the following addresses: "What Should the District Superintendent Expect of the Pastors V Rev. Mr. Bridge; "What have the Churches a Right to Expect of the Pastors," Rev. Mr. Harman. Rev. J. P. Chamness, Fairview Methodist church, will discuss, "Decision Day in our Evangelistic Program," on Wednesday afternoon. Other ministers well-known in Wayne county who are on the program are Rev. M. E. Barrett, Lewisville; Rev. R. C. Ballard, Economy; Rev. H. S. Nickerson, Winchester; Rev. Louis Ulmer, Williamsburg; Rev. A. C. Wischmeier, Hagerstown.
Ackerman Joins New York Paper
Carl Ackerman has joined the staff of the New York Tribune. He now is on his way home from Berlin with Ambassador Gerard and is contributing stories to the Tribune from cities enroute. Ackerman, who was Berlin manager for the United Press until diplomatic relations were severed, is a son of Mr. and Mrs. John Ackerman,- of Richmond.

CAROLINA JUBILEES TO PERFORM HERE
The Carolina Jubilee Singers, a musical organization which gained favor in its appearances before the Chautauqua assemply at different times, will give a concert at the Mt. Moriah church Thursday evening at 8 o'clock. In connection with the musical program, Attorney C. R. Richardson will deliver an address on "Equal Rights for Women." The Rev. C. C. Goins, of the Mt.
