TRUSTEE REFUSES TO CALL ELECTION IN SCHOOL SCRAP
Petitions bearing signatures of
twenty-five tax payers of, Dublin and twenty-five tax payers of Jackson township and asking that an election be called to determine whether the voters of the two corporations want a joint high school for Dublin and the township established In or near Dublin have been filed with trustee A. E. Ehle, East Germantown. Dr. Ehle said today that he was opnosed to the erection of a township high school near Dublin because it would not be central for all children In the townshrp and for, "another reason" which he does not care to make public. Petitions Are Presented He said that the petitions which have been presented to him do not comply with all requirements of the law and that for this reason he will not call for the election. Cambridge City has made repeated efforts to get Dublin and Jackson township to join with it in the erection of a joint high school near Cambridge City. Last fall, Dublin and persons living in the country nearby, made an effort to establish an independent school district at Dublin. This plan was dropped for some reason.
