Your Share to Make Richmond a Bigger and Better City? There Are Two Kinds of CITIZENS that Make Up a Town, But There is Only ONE REAL BOOSTER He is the One That BUYS AT HOME
The One
Is the man when he needs a suit of clothes he buys it out of town. When his wife needs a dress she buys it out of town. When his daughter needs a new hat she buys it out of town. When the little tots need clothing, they buy them out of town or through a Mail Order House. His wife is in a Mail Order Club she thinks she is getting something for nothing by the premiums they offer. She buys articles that are expensive and things she doesn't want or need in order to fill the agreement for the premium. When they need furniture for their house to the mail order catalogue. They buy a dining room suite the catalogue says Golden Oak it's "golden" all right pine with an oak finish glued together instead of securely bolted they use it awhile then it falls to pieces. Are they getting bargains? Judge for yourself. The above is a true story. Does it "come home" to you? They are not boosters they just help fill the "Census."
The Other
Is the man that takes a great deal of interest in his city lie's m for the betterment of the town. When he or his family buy anything, it's always at our home stores where the selections are large and the prices most reasonable and the best of it all, he can see what he is getting. Then too, if something should happen to be wrong or he wishes a change he has the "Home Merchant" who is always ready to serve his customers best and willing to make the change, or adjust anything that might come up. He is the man who knows that when anything is for the betterment of the town, the Home Merchant is always ready to give it a Boost and help it along. Take away the stores of a town and it ceases to exist. The above is the type of man to admire he is the man that does something more than pay his taxes he is the biggest man in town. Are yon of his class? Ask yourself this question. If you're not, get in line. It's never too late to do good.
Take Away Your Home Merchants And Your Town Will Be Like a "Sftip Without a Sail" The Closer At Home You Keep Your Dollar, the Sooner It Will Get Back to Your Own Pocket These Merchants Are Leaders in Richmond's Commercial Life and Will Serve You At All Times To the Best of Their Ability. If the Merchandise You Want is Not in Stock These Merchants Will Get It For You.
