Wild and woolly was the type of $ame dropped by the Quakers to the Indians in the sessioning here Saturday. The Indians, at their best, ran the homo team a curve from first to last end practically led the natives in all departments. Injuries to Griffith. Logic n and DeWItt, together with the
uaker punishment, were the only re
futable features Of the super-inter-
ating contest.

PALLS ASK SECONDCHANCE AT VICTORS
It took the battle of Bull Run to awaken the North to a sense Of serious effort. It took the Item-Pall polo controversy at the Coliseum- Saturday afternoon to awaken the Palls to an appre-
preciattou of the "preparedness first"! loan.
The Palladium, confident but unprepared, enthusiastic but minus such essential weapons as polo clubs and a goal tender, was crushed, humiliated end disgraced, as it were. The score wa 6 to 2, Item. The Palladium offers no alibis. Hsre Are the Cold Figures " The frigid facts show that the Pall itoal was in danger nine times. The Item pen was threatened seventeen times. The Item penman stopped fifteen; the Pall, three. The superiority of the Pall offense Is reflected in the uwfulness of its defense. In the case of the Item, vice versa. . The Palladium polo team merely f3ks for a chance to restore Its displaced honor:
FRIARS HAND ONE TO ELKHORN TEAM

Says the cWago Tribune: "Richmond, Ind., is the honie of roller hockey, and the little city has one of the best roller teams in this section of the country, but at Dreamland rink Saturday the Harmon-Cooper all-star combine defeated the lads from Indiana, 6 to 2. ' The Williams brothers, Red and Kid there you have the story of Chicago's six goals. -..While the Williams boys were doing the brother act in the goal making line Bill Whiting and Art Egiinton were just as prominent in the defensive. .. . ... The Richmond boys had a fairly good alibi. They were playing their first game on a banked floor.: The corners in the Dreamland rink are banked and the visitors did not get wise to the way to play the banks until the final period. In this final period they made both their scores.
