ANTI-CANT CLASS WILL HOLD SESSION

WEBSTER, Ind., Feb. 12. The An-ti-Can't Sunday-school class held a business meeting at the home of Glen Miller Thursday evening. Musks and games were the special features of the evening. Refreshments were served to tbe following: Misses Daisy Mailory, Rena Phillips, Juanita Henderfihott and Gladyus Williams. Messrs. Emmett Parish, Lowell Steddom. Glen Miller, Lewis Steddom, Noel Culbertson and Harry Williams Messrs. Harry Hunt, Andrew Flatley, Delbert Jay and Russell Fudge attended the polo game at Richmond Wednesday night.... Mrs. Ferris is a shut-in this winter because of a recent fall, and greatly appreciates the favor and so expresses her thanks.

LONDON, Feb. 10 Lord Northcliffe, owner of the London Daily Mail and many other newspapers, the man behind the present war cabinet, has issued a statement in which he asserts that England would prefer not to have the United States intervene in the struggle. The statement reads: "It is generally felt here that when the history of this great world revolution is written, future generations will realize that the United States has exhibited natienee and forbearance to a

MRS. ALBERTSON DIES

CENTER VILLE, Ind.. Feb. 12. Mrs. Martha Albertson, 80, died Saturday night at the home of her daughter. Mrs. James Helms, after a short illness due to pneumonia. Funeral services will be held at 1 o'clock Tuesday from, the home of the daughter. Services will be coducted by the Rev. Mr. Pfeiffer. Interment will be at Greensfork. The deceased is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Helms and Mrs. Ollle Clements.

Deaths in Preble

JOHN H. JONES EATON, O. Funeral services for Deputy County Clerk John H. Jones, 56, will be held Wednesday afternoon under direction of members of the local Masonic and Knights of Pythias fraternienes. The funeral sermon will be preached by Rev. George H. Smith, of Riverdale M. E. church, Dayton. It has not been determined whether the services will be held at the home or in St. Paul's M. E. church. Burial in Mound Hill cemetery will be made according to the rites of the fraternal orders. Death was the result of a stomach ailment and leakage of the heart. The deceased is survived by his widow. Florence, and one daughter, Mrs. Walter E. Moorehead, of Philadelphia. He is also survived by one brother, Joseph Jones, and at sister, Mrs. Margaret Carlyle, both of Cincinnati.

M'VEY'S FATHER DIES

Word of the death of W. G. McVey's father at Xenia, Ohio, has been received here. Services will be held at Xenia on Wednesday.
