IN MEMORY " 'Tia sweet, as year by year we lost Friends out of sight, in faith to muse How grows in Paradise, our. store." William Edmund Bell, formerly of Richmond, Indiana, where almost all of his life was spent, died at-his late home. Los Angeles, California, December 26, 1916. His many friends and acquaintances at his former home, will recall him in his business relations of the years gone,by as well as friend and neigb-
in all bis various positions,
genial and kind- , His years of bodily suffering confined him to his home- As long as able he was glad fo see his friends and converse with them. On such an occasion, we recall at one time his taking from his pocket, the book of St. John, which some years before, an Interested friend had sent him; he remarked that he keptjt by him; reading it daily, that he found great comfort from it, that he could respond to its teachings, witnessing as it did to his soul's needs; and having found the cure for sin in the blood of Jesus he was glad to tell to others this gospel message which brought peace to hl3 soul. The funeral services were conducted at his late home. The many beautiful floral offerings bespoke the interest and love of his friends. The following pall bearers were at one time residents and friends at his former borne: D. S. Burson, Horace Crocker, Harry Gilbert, Shumau Jones, Stephen Myrick.

Tires are better than the average that they give him better mileage service than most of the so called "good" tires on the market today, and who can be a better judge than he who has rough roads as to the man who haa the paved city streets. If you are not already a member of the thousands
of users of SWINEHART TIRES we want you to join give them a severe test then you, too will know SWINEHART SERVICE. VT II C Don't throw away your old tires until you have seen us about vulcanizing them. Get our VULLnlilulWJ prices on all classes of vulcanizing as you will find them more reasonable than the socalled "Cut Price" ones. Don't be misled by so called "double treading" as that is merely another casing -slipped over the old one and joined with only a few rows of stitches. Our method of Vulcanizing is entirely different as we join a good tread ta one having a worn tread with a layer of new rubber, and vulcanizing it into one extra strong, practical casing. We fully guarantee every tire we vulcanize to be satisfactory. See us for Auto Supplies and Accessories.
