HAGEKSTOWN, Ind., Jan. 23. The Junior class of the high school gave a box social Saturday night at the school house and made $37 clear of expense. It was a very entertaining and pleasing socia.1. Candy was sold from a booth by Miss Marjorie Bohanon and Miss Jennie Wischterman and fortunes were. told. by Mrs. Fred Otte. The boxes were sold at auction by Albert Hindman. The event was given by the Juniors for the purpose of raising money, which will be used next spring when they expect to entertain in honor of the senior class.... AMUSEMENTS AT LOCAL HOUSES
"A Pull House," a sparkling farce, considerably mutilated in presentation by an incompetent company, was witnessed at the Murray theatre .last night by a capacity house. The leading woman character, that of a housemaid, was very poorly presented by Miss Marie Clifford. Taken by a competent actress there are wonderful possibilities in this part, bnt Miss Clifford merely succeeded in burlesquing it. The part of "Nicholas King," a burglar, played by Harry O. BateB, was the only part satisfactorily portrayed. "A Full House" is so crammed full rf rich comedy and amusing situations
that it is interesting even wnen prentpd by such a poor company as seen last night at the Murray. t "'Loclrerb?e," James Whitcomb Rilev's famous white poodle, became a famous "canine actor" without rehearsal, in fact, on his own initiative. When the great poet was posing for his part in the much discussed historical picture "Indiana" the plan was for Mr. Riley to be seated on the lawn at his hqme in Lockerbie street. Indianapolis, surrounded as he loved to be found, by a group of boys and girls. The poet and his little friends were all grouped and the camera was focused when, with a wild rush, Lockerbie, the poodle, "broke into the scene" and sprang upon Mr. Riley's lap. Everybody laughed and the motion picture "director at once insisted that the dog remain in the picture. "Indiana" will be shown at tha Murrette theatre on Thursday and Friday. The picture has been endorsed by the Indiana Historical commission and by editors and educators everywhere is well as by boys and girls in every ctiy where the picture has been shown. WASHINGTON i John W. Vogel's minstrel show at the Washington theatre last night resembled a "re-write" newspaper story. The Jokes were old with new angles sad the songs were mostly burlesques on old popular song hits. The wellfilled house derived what enjoyment it could from the performance.

THIS WILL INTEREST STOMACH SUFFERERS Says Indigestion Comes From an Ex- ' . . cess of Hydrochloric Acid. A well-known authority states that stomach trouble and indigestion is nearly always due to acidity acid stomach and not, as most folks believe, from a lack of digestive Juices. He states that an excess of hydrochloric add in the stomach retards v digestion and starts food fermentation, then our meals sour like garbage in a can. forming acrid fluids and gases wnich Inflate the Btomach like a toy balloon. We then get that heavy lumpy feeling in the chest, we eructate sour food, belch gas, or have heartburn, flatulence, water brash or nausea. He tells us to lay aside all digestive aids and instead, get from any pharmacy four ounces of Jad Salts and take a tablespoonful in a glass of water before breakfast while it Is effervescing, and furthermore, to continue this for one week. While relief follows the first dose, it is important to neutralize the acidity, remove the ass-making mass, 6tart the liver, stimulate the kidneys and thus promote a free flow of pure digestive Juices. Jad Salts is inexpensive and is made from the acid of grapes and lemon juice, combined with lithia and sodium phosphate. This harmless salts is used by thousands of people for BUltS Adv." - - ----- i

WHAT IS AN INTERNAL BATH? If you were to ask a dozen people this question probably not one would answer correctly, although half a million Americans are now using it with a marked improvement in health and
strength. --.. The Internal Bath of today is no more like the old-fashioned Enema than a Vacuum Cleaner is like a whiskbroom. Now, by means of the "J. B. L. Cascade," simple warm water cleanses the Lower Intestine the entire length, removes all the poisonous waste matter therein and keeps it clean and pure as Nature demands it shall be for perfect health. You will be astonished at your feel
ings the morning after taking an Internal Bath by means of the "J. B. L. Cascade." You will feel bright, brisk, confident and as thought everything is "working right" and it is. It absolutely removes Constipation and prevents Auto-Intoxication. A. G. Luken's Drug store in Richmond, Indwill explain it fully to you, and on request will give you a free book on the subject by an eminent specialist. Ask or send for this free book today, called "Why Man of To-Day Is Only 50 Per Cent Efficient," while you thiuk of it. Adv.

Happy Old Age. When old age carries with It hosts of friends, good health and an abundance of this world's goods, it should be as happy as any period in our existance. That is old age as it should be, but too often it means poor digestion, torpid bowels, a sluggish liver and a general feeling of ill health, despondency and misery. This condition can be greatly alleviated, however, by taking one of Chamberlain's Tablets each day immediately after supper. That will strengthen the digestion, tone up thhe liver and regulate the bowels, then that feeling of despondency will give way to one of hope and good cheer. Obtainable everywhere. Adv.
