MISS VORLEY WEDS BROWN AT CHESTER

. CHESTER, Ind.. Jan. 17. Miss Marjorie gave a dinner at her home here Sunday " in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Burg, nee Miss Celia Barnes, who were recently married, ' and Miss Naomi Edgerton, o! Fountain City, a January bride. .The guests were Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Burg of this place, Misses Naomi Edgerton, Esther Brooks, of Fountain City, Messrs. Jim Hiatt and Scott Patter son of Lynn, Ind., and Louis DeArtnond of Richmond Miss Ardella Worley and Floyd Brown were quietly married Saturday at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Worley, east 'of town. Only members of the immediate families were prea ent. Rev. Ulraer conducted the ceremony.. The event came as a surprise to the young couple's many friends here, who extend all good wishes. Mr. and Mrs. Brown will reside on a farm near Greensfork..: Mr. and Mrs. T. S. Martin. Mr. and Mrs. James Webster and. Mr. and Mrs. Caleb Duke attended Quarterly meeting at Williamsburg Sunday. JONES TALKS ON ROADS W. O. Jones, county highway superintendent, Is attending the short course at Purdue university for road men. He will outline carefully Wayne county's plan of road supervision. Prisoners furnish most of the work. Jones and his assistants have all county roads under careful observation at all times and make repairs as soon as they are needed. Mounted in a torpedo-sbaped shell, special generators are now being con structed for wireless telephone ap paratus carried on air craft. k ARB YOU BEING SLOWLY POISONED? The most eminent physicians recognize that uric acid stored up in the 1 system is the cause of gout and rheu- '; matism, that this uric acid poison Is deposited in the joints, muscles, or i nerve-sheath. By experimenting anl analysis at the Surreal Institute in Buffalo. N. Y., Dr. Pierce discovered a combination of native remedies that he (called Anuric, which drives out the ; uric acid from the system, and in this 1 way the pain, swelling and inflamma itlon subside.. If you are a sufferer , from rheumatism, backache, pains ! here or there, you can obtain Anuric '(double strength) at any drug store and get relief from the pains and ills ' brought about by uric acid. Swollen hands, ankles, feet are due to a dropsical condition, often caused .by disordered kidneys. Naturally when the kidneys are deranged the j blood is filled with poisonous uric i acid, which settles in the tissues of the ;' feet, ankles, wrists or back as uratio ' salts; or under the eyes in bag-like ; formations. It Is Just as necessary to keep tho kidneys acting properly as to keep the : bowels active to rid the body of pol !ons. - - 'i- - The very best possible way to take care of yourself is to take a glass of hot water before meals and an Anuric tablet.' . In this way it is readily dissolved with the food, picked up by ;the blood and finally reaches the kidneys, where it has a cleansing and tonic effect. Step into the drug store and ask for a 50-cent package of Anuric, or send Dr. Pierce 10c, for trial pekg. Anuric many times more potent than lithia, eliminates uric acid as hot water melts sugar. A short trial will convince you. Adv. NOTICE OF APPOINTMENT OF EXECUTOR Stata of Indiana, County of Wayne, in th Wayne Circuit Court, January term. 1917.
