Pack in the load the Richmond five will necessarily win at Muncle tonight to maintain the supremacy temporarily established at New Castie last night. A Muncle victory over the Quakers tonlsht will hand New Cantl-J the lead. The Quakers In that case will have to wait till Saturday night to Ket in good again. No matter how Muncle ha.ndlos Richmond at Muncie tonight, the Quakers by winning from Now Castle here Saturday night will bpj back home again. RICHMOND, 5; NEW CASTLE, 3. ETana, Griffith and O'Metz stacked Kaliitt the New Castle defensive combination of DuFreenea, Doherty and lltWfuer., loomed perfeeto aside the popular sto.do variety and the renult thereof was the Quaker victory that necessitated New Castle's gift of tho upper I. S. L. berth to the Quakers for today at least. The Richmond dofene outshone the New Castle guard work like a brand new five dollar gold piece flipped alonpeide of an aged Mexican peso.- The Duke. TJarney and the Swede were left behind from the start. ' Richmond arrived early and was the last to leave. Lou Qulgley started it and Half Griffith finished it. Referring to ffoalR scored of course. The last "round was featured by a rattling hard scrap of the New Castleit.es, who apparently wer striving to emulate the deeds of Ad Wolgast the chamrlon come-backer of the hour, Duke DuFresnes hronght his team hack part of the way but the proceedings were delayed when Griffith tripped up the New Castle offensive. Grlf? Introduced a bit of offense himself in the last part and managed to make the goal that caused Pete LJchtenfels to remark: There goes your old game New Castle. New Castle's team came through the conflict In fair style. The crowd, however, was noticeably disturbed. Defeating the Quakers has been the hobby of the Henry county caucus and the natives couldn't quite understand the nature of Richmond's come-back. They openly and profanely charged that Harry Thompson had something to do with the Quaker success but those impartial ones, who know a good proposition when they lamp it, didn't bother to lay the blame on Harry i Thompson's neck. They handed said blame to the Quigleys, Evans, Griffith and O'Metz. Come again. New Castle. The game In figures: Richmond (5) New Castle (3) L. Quigley Long First Rush 0.
