Schedule For Week. Jan. 8 Munclo at New Castle. Jan. 9 Indianapolis at Mtincin. Jan. 10 Indiana polls at Richmond. Jan. 11 Richmond at New Castle. Jan. 12 Richmond at Muncie. Jan. 13 New Castle at Richmond. 'Trying to Beat New Castle," will be the sport of the week for three teams of the Indiana State League. The man-hunt begin tonight when Frederick I'enco and his Muncie rink employe set out for the Henry county stronghold in an attempt to capture the angora of Doherty and assistants. Failing; in this tonight. Muncie will take a gallery scat and watch the Richmond hrotherhood of Soi Qnigley try to administer the kibosh In a brace of games to b pNyed at New Castle and Richmond. Wednesday and Saturady night, respectively. New Caatla Shews Class. There Is no denying the fact that this New Castle bunch is the blue ribbon material of the circle. Many of the local fan assembly believes that New Castle Is the team the Quakers will hare to beat for the meal tickrts. Be this as It may. howveer, New Castle Is and has headed the processJon long enough and Its a white preposition to let. some other team carry the banner for awhile. Hence the impending conflicts. New Castle Is at present one full game In advance of the Quakers. For Richmond to move into the lead early in the week It Is necessary that Muncie defeat New Castle tonight and, that the Quakers follow with another Jolt Wednesday night. Richmond, can, however, by winning both games with New Castle this week, move Into the lead, even should Muncie fall down In tonight's mlxup. Muncie Out of Race. Muncie for this week at least, is out of consideration Insofar as leadership is concerned. The Campbellites have but two games scheduled this round and by winning both will merely come UP to the half way mark, Indianapolis for the present at least is the Socialist party of the league rating and will have to roll up a bigger following before it can hope to be considered in the grab for the I. S. L. decorations. RICHMOND, 4; MUNCIE, ) The Quakers' victory over Muncie at the Coliseum Saturday night was featured by a good night ran off the cudgel of one Walt Evans, Richmond center, who. after the game had lapsed into overtime, took credit for the marker that helped the Quakers move a bit nearer to heights of the I. 8. L. heap. With the score knotted at three at the close of regulation time, Evans was obliged to postpone his curtain stunt until eight minutes and nine seconds after the opening of the fourth period of play. The drive that broke wp the party was a long one and amazed the big crowd, no one member of which would have stacked matches to radium that Walt had a spirit of a show to make the tally. OBLIGING KREMOS TAKE HARD BEATING IN CURTAIN NUMBER

CITY LEAGOE STANDING -- Won. Lost. Greeks .............. 3' 1 Eagles 2 1 Miller-Kemper . 2 2 Kremos 1 3 Pet .750 .667 .500 .200 Eagles Va. Greeks Because they were not in a position to offer their strongest lineup in a came that was to decide the league leadership, the Eagles' team secured s. postponement until this Wednesday night the game scheduled with the Creeks for last Saturday. The league leaders fight it out as the curtain raiser to the Richmond-Indianapolis game Wednesday. Ins and Outs Subbing for the dismantled Eagles,! the Kremos entered the scrap Saturday night and took an awful beating for their willingness to oblige. The score was 11 to 1, Greeks. tt is not likely that Saturday's game will stand in the percentage llst3. The game was an extra one and probably will be thrown out by the league officials. Minor, with six goals; Van Etten, with three; and Reid with one. led ihe Greek offensive. Rus Hawekotte in the Greek pen balled only one. He accepted twentytwo chances without a bobble. Bob Mitchell meanwhile was havlng trouble at the rate of one out of five. The Kremo goal tend was a tar get fifty-six times. About the only figure In the Kremo box score was the figure eight in the rush column opposite Bradfleld's name. TackB also contributed the lone goal. Apparently the Kremos are the Inllanapolis of the City League. Land now above the sea level. 25,000,000 square miles, if uniformly spread over the globe, would make a crust 6000 feet thick. LOADED FRIARS DEFEAT QUAKERS BY FEW POINTS

FT. WAYNE, Ind.. Jan. 8. Surprised by the unexpected strength of th3 visitors, the Fort Wayne Friar club, loaded to the gunwhales with bis league talent, was forced to scrap sixty seconds of every minute before the Quakers of Richmond were down and out via the 35-25 route. It was a free-for-all from first till last whistle. Fort Wayne with a number oi excollege lights, presented a formidable battle array and managed to bruise the way through to a substantial lead In the last minutes of play after the lighter Quakers had been brushed off their feet momentarily. Up until the final minutes the Quakers had led by a narrow margin. The score: Quakers. Gls. Fls.Msd.Pts. WOE TO RUSHVILLE FOR LYBOULT'S FIVE PLANS GOME BACK

Satisfied over the showing of his team at Dayton Friday night. Coach Lyboult of the R. H. S. squad had little criticism to spill this evening when the squad met in the first workout in preparation for the Rushville game at the Coliseum Friday night. The team was the victim of the breaks at Dayton Friday and 'this with the fact that R. H. S. was up against one of the best teams in the state of Ohio is sufficient explanation for the defeat of the Richmond charges. The team emerged from the Stivers game in good physical condition and with a week's training will be in a position to run up fifty points on the representatives from the Rush county seat of learning. K, OF C, TINMEN BANQUET AT HOTEL Huge happenings are scheduled for the Westcott Hotel tomorrow, Tuesday evening, at 8 o'clock, when the Knights of Columbus bowling league adjourns from the alleys to the festive board. The curtain will ascend at 8 o'clock. The cast follows: Ralph Aubery, W. B. Martin; Harry Montford, L. G. Cook; Zeke Wintergreen, George Baker: Mrs. Ralph Aubery, Mrs. Rose Baker; Clara Aubery, Mrs. Emma Barton; Julia Lovegrove, Mrs. Minnie Clark. JOLT AT ANTIOGH AROUSES EARLHAM Jarred at the hands of Antioch, 36 to 19, in a return game, the Earlham college basketball teafti faces cn ignoble fate at the hands of State Normal at the Coliseum Friday night if the team doesn't quit Its equestrian stunts and settle down to business. As part of the Richmond-Rushville high school program at the Coliseum Friday night, the Quakers take on the State Normal five. State Normal, this like last year, is represented by a 3 DAYS ST.
