A rery charming affair -was the watch party given by Miss Echo Roland on New Tear's eve, Those present were Misses Maize Elliot, Gladys Study, Kathryn, Marie and Helen Pegg, Messrs. Harold Huff, Robert Thomas, Joseph Qulgley, Dr. McCreigie and Russell Martin.... Mr. and Mrs. Jake Amnion of Newcastle, and Miss La Vern Williams spent the week-end with C. N. Hatfield and family Atwood Pitts, wife and daughters, Vera and Ruth, took dinner with Mr. and Mrs. John Laughlin Sunday.... Denver Coggeshall and wife entertained at dinner on New Year's eve Misses Ocle and Emma Coggeshall and Mr. Clare Martin Mary and Sarah Kring of Richmond, are visiting friends here. Miss Barnes Weds The marriage of Miss Celia Barnes and Mr. Elmer Burg was solemnized at 6 o'clock Sunday evening at the home of the bride, by Rev. Leanna Hobson. After the service a dainty luncheon was served to twenty-four guests. The color scheme of green and white was very beautifully carried out in decoratlonc and ; in the refreshments Albert Thomas and wife1 leave today for Florida to spend the winter months.

SUNDAY SCHOOL HOLDS ELECTION OF OFFICERS

Replogle; superintendent of young people, P. O. Beckman; superintendent primary department, Mrs. Emma Ballengcr; superintendent general department, Mrs. Julius Weldy; pianist. Miss Carol Weldy ; secretary, Harold Fouts. The cradle roll and home department retained the same officers that served last year.

MRS. HOUSEWORTH OIES

' MILTON, Ind.r;jan. 4. Mrs. Eliza Doddridge . Houseworth, wife of Harry Houseworth of the. Doddridge settlement, died Tuesday night at the age of 72. She js survived by her husband and one daughter, Miss Clara Houseworth, two step-sons, Walter and Richard Houseworth, six sisters and five brothers.- Among them are Mrs. J. W. Judkins, Cambridge City, the Rev. John Doddridge of Greensburg and James of Milton. She was the daughter of the late Isaac and Sarah Weekly Doddridge and born in the Doddridge neighborhood. The funeral will be from the Doddridge chapel, of which she was a member, Thursday afternoon. Interment in Doddridge cemetery. The Rev. Charles E. Bacon of Connersville, superintendent of the Connersville M. E. church will conduct the funeral services.
