"The Mainspring," at the Lyric Sunday presents the case of a millionaire reporter blundering into the rize fctory of the year. Beg pardon, Ashmore was a millionaire without the million. Mis dad had lost that. Francis Ford, co-star with Grace Ciinard in the Universal super-serial, "The rurplo Mask," the first episode of which will be shown at the Lyric Theatre on Thursday, is one of the most distinguished figures In the film world. , Clara Kimball Young in "Marriage a la Carte," at the Washington Wednesday and Thursday. If, as the cynic says, "Marriage is a lottery," most of the players draws prizes. Now and again, wo find someone grumbling over his booby-prize someone who has gambled and lost. Again we hear about the couple who, not content with just an ordinary winning, demand and draw the capital prize, and Ihia cort of a couple is intensely interesting. In "The Mischief Maker," Effie Marchand is such a mischievous girl that her aunt is forced to send her away to boarding cchool. A few weeks later KfTie returns home with a husband. At the Washington Sunday and Monday. In chapter nine of "A Lass of the Lumberlands," at the Theatorium revealed whether or not Holmes was Fu'ccessrul in his attempt to kill his firBt wife by falling a large tree over her cabin in the closing scene of chapter eight. !'If a girl has fairly good 'health there is only one reason why she does not have a perfect skin and complexion, and that reason fa given in just oive word: Neglect. This is the r.cswer Miss Grsce Darnicnd, star of "The Shielding Shadow" l'athe's wonder eeritil produced by Astra, made to an Edmirer who asked how she kept such a good complexion.

The thirteenth episode of this serial will be shown at the Arcade Theatre tomorrow. "The Heart of a Hero," a story which once seen will never be forgot ten. Founded on the events we never tire hearing and reading about, it describes the dangers and worries of those brave souls who made possible our present-day prosperity. At the Washington Friday and Saturday. Can a child born of poor, wretched and intemperate parents grow from her sordid surroundings to prominent place in society? No moi.? interesting subject has ever been filmed than the sweet story of "Sally in Our Alley," at the Washington Tuesday. Blanche Sweet, the brilliant Lasky star, who has established herself among the idols of the screen, will be seen at the Murray on Thursday, in the thrilling society drama, "Public Opinion," written especially for her by Margaret Turnbull, celebrated novelist. It is a .Paramount program release.

A photoplay not hampered by studio walls comes to the Murrette Sunday The vastness of Nature's stage gives the atmosphere of "The Stronger Love," a singular gandeur. It's an outdoor, mountain and pine woods story. "Miser 44," a Metro picture produced by the Yorke Film Corporation, with Harold Lockwood and May Allison in the stellar roles, is the big feature attraction at the Murrette theatre on Friday. While preparing for her marriage to a much disliked man about town, Felicite finds an old yellow diary. To her great joy an avenue of escape from her distressing predicament is enfolded to her through tho medium of the manuscripts. This strange coincidence occurs in the exquisite Famous Players production, "Silks and Satins," at the Murrette Friday on the Paramount program.

Catching Cold Colds are due to a neglected skiL and lack of ventilation in the sleeping room. People who take a cool sponge bath every morning before breakfast seldom take cold. When you do take cold get rid of it as quickly as possible. This is best accomplished by taking Chamberlain's Cough Remedy. This is an old time tried remedy that can be relied upon with implicit confidence. Obtainable everywhere. Adv.
