MILTON, lnd., Dec. 29. Miss Thelma Little, of Doddridge, assisted by her sister, Miss Marie Little, entertained in a very pleasing manner, Christmas night at their pleasant country home. The living room and parlor were artistically decorated in the yule-tide colors. The guests were entertained with music and games and at n late hour a two-course luncheon was served. Those present were the Misses Geneva Kcllam, Mildred Clevenger, Mary Spoops, Elizabeth Pierce, Messrs. Marian Martin, Everett Clevenger, Perry Stoops, Horace Meek and Walter Clevenger and Mr. and, Mrs. D. O. Clevenger.

Star officers was held jointly at the Mason'B Hall Wednesday evening. The following onicers were installed in the Masonic Order: Worshipful Master, Emmet Tice; senior warden, A. M. Barr; junior warden, Edward Green; secretary, William Dunkle; treasurer, Bert Horner; tiler, Enoch Wolf. At the close of the services a banquet was served in the banquet room.

J. E. VAN AUSDAL EATON, O. Seized with a heart attack, J. E. Van Ausdal, 68, died in the yard at the home of his son, Herman Van Ausdal, three miles east of this city. His health had been apparently normal. The deceased's wife died about two years ago. For a few years he had been a resident of Florida, but last spring came to Preble county, the place of his birth, to visit his son and other relatives. Besides Herman Van Ausdal he is survived by three other sons, James Van Ausdal, of Pensacola, Fla.. Lewis Van Ausdal, of Dayton and Mark Van Ausdal, of Shelbyville, Ind. F. X. Van Ausdal. of Florida, and Isaac Van Ausdal, northwest of this city are brothers. Surviving sisters are Mrs. Jeanete Hart of Maysville, Mo., Mrs. Laura Kitson. of Richmond. Ind.. and Mrs. Emily Campbell of Campbellstown. Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at the son's home,

conducted by Rev. George J. Sixt, of

Lutheran church.
