ROBBER SECURES $7 AT LICHTENFELS HOME
Complaint was made at police headquarters today that a robber bad entered the home 'of Everett Lichtenfels, 418 South Seventh street, last night and had taken $7 from a dressing table drawer in a downstairs room. No clues were left. It is thought by the family that the house was entered sometime after 11 o'clock.
SECOND NATIONAL DISTRIBUTES BONUS AMONG EMPLOYES
CHICAGO GETS DONATION
CHICAGO, Dec. 21. Two hundred and fifty thousand dollars today was added to the endowment fund of the proposed medical school of the University of Chicago by a gift from an unnamed donor, President Harry Pratt Judson, announced. He said that the
gift brings the total funds raised to J
$4,000,000 and that $5,300,000 is necessary.

M.-K. COMPANY GIVES BANQUET FOR MEN
Employes of the Miller-Kemper company were the guests at a banquet tendered by the management last evening. Fifty-eight employes attended and each one received a duck as a Christmas present. A flood of oratory was tapped, following the meal, honors being carried away by Charles Schumaker and Sam Gudger. The men were informed that the company enjoyed a very successful year and that the prospects for business next year were excellent.
NEWPORT NEWS, Va., Dec. 21. The superdreadnaught, Mississippi, npw building here, will be launched on January 25. Miss Camille McBeath of Meridian, Miss., daughter of J. M. McBeath, national committeeman from Mississippi, has been named by Secretary Daniels to christen the warship.
TAX TOTALS $11,000,000
CHARLESTON. W. Va.. Dec. 21. Reaching the highest mark in history, the state of West Virginia in the fiscal year of 1916,, which ended on June 30, last, colected from tax-payers and corporations doing business In the state more than $11,000,000, according to the report of the state auditor.

Deaths and Funerals. CAMPBELL Mrs. John Campbell, aged 34 years, died at the Reid Memorial hospital this morning. Death was due to apoplexy. Mrs. Campbell leaves a husband and three small children. their employes have given during the past year, several Richmond business
concerns are making large bonus dis
tributlons this week. The Second National bank issued checks this week to fourteen employes for amount equal to five percent, of their annual salaries. No employe received a check for less than $50. The exact amount distributed has not been made public. Atlas Underwear company will distribute between $12,000 and $13,000 among the employes of the local factory and the one at Piqua, O. It was estimated today that about $6,000 of this will go to the 325 employes of the local factory who have worked steadily since Feb. 1. Starting the first of last year, the underwear company opened Christmas saving accounts for each employe. These accounts each amount to $12,50,
plus interest. Checks for this amount will" be distributed in 'the next two days. Besides this, several checks for $50,. $25 and $12.50 for efficient service will be distributed. The winners of these prizes have not yet been announced. Men with attendance records will also receive rewards, as will people who have been in the employment of the company at least five years. . -
CLUB PLANS BANQUET
Richmond's newly organized "Get Out and Get On" club will banquet at the Arlington hotel, New Years night. It f will be a stag affair and an extensive program ; is being planned. Probably some successful business or professional man of the city will be called in to instruct the young hopefuls how to "get on." The constitution will be adopted at this session.
