Thursday Richmond at New Castle. Friday Richmond at Muncie. Saturday New Castle at Richmond. Muncie, 4; New Castle, 3. , Shattering all records for extra play, the forty-five minute over time contest between the New Castle and M undo clubs of the I. S. L. at New Castle last night established a mark that as far as is known here, never has and no dcubt never will be equaled in any polo belt. And If Barney Doherty, captain and halfback of the New Castle five, had not accidently started something there Is a substantial possibility that the teams would have been playing yet Insofar as a winning goal might be concerned. Doherty broke up the game. Or rather, Cliff Edglngton, the Muncie center, with Doherty's assistance, broke it up. A terrific drive off the club of Edglngton was headed in the general direction of the New Castle pen. Unmolested it would have either taken Blondey Hueffner amidships or cleared the pen entirely. Doherty's attempted Benny Kauff failed to meet the ball squarely and the sphere deflected as it were, whizzed into the pen for the breaking up and good-night goal. Twai a Cold Night. The blow almost killed the New
Castle fans. From the start of play the New Castle team had been the T&greeRor. And when the game did finally terminate thusly it was a woefully dejected crowd that slunk out Into the winter night. New Castle started out like a certain winher. A couple of accurate drives by Freddie Harkens in the first period gave New Castle tin early start. Both goals were more or less spectacular rnd tickled the natives mightily. H Williams Fools Goal Tend Muncie brought the score to a 2-1 basis, in the second.' A scant minute after the opening rnsh.'Art Williams picked out a banked ball and fooled Hueffner with the drive. Fahrner mussed up New Castle's lead In the last one. His two goals offset the effort of Freddie Harklns who garnered another late In the period. At close of regulation time, both teams were going good at par, S all. Muncie's victory gives New Castle .company in the runner-up position of the state circle. Richmond profited more or less by New Castle's loss.
