DENIES NEW TRIAL TAKEN Oil APPEAL TO HIGHER COURTS

A new bearing was denied appellees In the case of Sarah Myers against the estate of Joseph Myera for partition of 450 acre of .. real estate in Jackson township in the' Appellate court last week. - ' '. j , ' The suit was filed in Wayne circuit court about two years ago. Neva, the Infant, child of Essie Paul, through a guardian, filed a cross complaint asking that the will of Joseph Meyers be construed so that she would upon her mother's death become sole owner of the share conveyed to Essie. Paul for life. Essie Paul is still living and holds a life interest in part of the large estate. Other grandchaldrien claim that the will should be construed to mean that they also should receive part of the share now held by Mrs. Paul, after her death. Special 'Judge Comstock, who presided during the trial of the case in the local court, ruled against the child of Essie Paul. It was appealed to the Appellate court where Judge Comstock's decision was reversed. The appellees then filed petition for a new hearing. A8K SHELTER DEPOT AT EA8THAVEN AVENUE

Announcement was . made by Manager PreFontaine of the local branch of the Postal Telegraph company that a box had been reserved at the Murray theatre for the second performance of the Murray-Palladium Christmas benefit vaudeville Wednesday night. This entertainment will be as a Christmas party for the messenger boys.

WASHINOTON,Dec. 19. Advocates of the Sheppard bill providing for prohibition in the District of Columbia were trying today to get a vote on . the measure in the senate. Before, the final .vote, however, the Underwood amendment for a referendum of the residents of the district on the prohibition question, was to be acted upon. A paste made of kerosene and wood ashes will hurry a slow fire with little danger to its user.
