Here you are, girls how to be healthy, beautiful and full of "pep": One little dip in the cold and foamy surf of Lake Michigan these flna winter mornings and, well just see what it seems to have done for Mrs. Dahlia Silva Bingham of 4753 Winthrop avenue. Mrs. Bingham not only considers the. surf a beauty maker, but a health improver and a voice builder. She uses the water In conjunction with some of the exercises lately expounded in the Chicago Evening American by Dr. Emily Noble. Not only that, Mrs Bingham . finds plenty every day In Martin Delaney's columns to add to her regimen.
FUR FARM PLANNED BY LAGRANGE MAN
UUittANGE, Ind., Dec. 15. H. B. Kchhidler of Lagrange, has written to ScfTftary of State Edward Jackson, r.f'kins if 'it is possible to obtain private (Oiitrol of the Ontario mill pond for vaiting muskrats and establishing n fur farm." MURRAY
There was a mere slip of a lad last night who received one of the greatest expressions of appreciation ever demonstrated by a Murray audience. He. played most any kind of a musical instrument and was equally proficient on all. Long after the curtain had been rung down, the vigorous applause insisted that the little star of the Gallerlni four give just one more number. Skipper, Kennedy and Reeves put over a singing act Intermingled with not a little mirth. Johnnie Small and the Small sisters tripped and sang with youthful abandon. The bill was introduced by Noble and Brooks and Darto and Rialto.

BAN UPON LIQUOR AROUSES PARISIANS
PARIS, Dec. 15. The decision of the government to prohibit the consumption during the remainder of the war of alcoholic beverages, with the exception of wines and beer, has caused consternation in the liquor trade, although it is but the logical culmination of a series of restrictive measures which have been taken since the outbreak of hostilities, such as the suppression of absinthe in March 1915, the doubling of the tax on spirits last June and the granting ,to private individuals of the privilege of distilling spirits from the produce of their own lands.
