SUNDAY SCHOOLS WILL MOBILIZE FOR OFFENSIVE IN JANUARY
Sunday schools will uillte in a concerted effort lasting four Sundays beginning on January 7 to increase attendance and interest. Bible schools represented in the City Sunday school isEociation reached this decision and appointed a committee to perfect detailed arrangements for the campaign it a called meeting last night in the Y. M. C. A. During the campaign which is preiminary to the simultaneous revival under the auspices of the Church Federation, each Sunday school will make t determined effort to Increase its attendance. Total attendance figures in all participating schools will be compiled the last Sunday in December, according to the tentative plan outlined
by Hassal T. Sullivan. Then at the
close of the campaign a similar com
pilation will be made to show whether
the total Sunday school attendance in
the city has gained as a result of the new offensive. " Flying Squadrons to Work. Another feature of the "drive" for members and attendance will be the work of several flying squadrons. These squadrons consisting of a speaker and a soloist will visit the Sunday schools of the city each Sunday, so tho
same speaker will not appear at any Bible school but once. ' The speakers will discuss topics suggested by the special Sundays which will be designated as: January 1 Bring-a-Friend Sunday; January 14 Y. M. C. A. Sunday; January 21 Civic Service Sunday; January 28 Peace Sundays - Rev. O. E. Pomes of Fort Wayne, who appeared before the association was so Impressed with the Richmond plan that he expressed determination to launch a similar campaign on his return home.
