Each member brought a gift and these were placed ;in the pie and' later drawn out by the guests. , This oc casioned much amusement. The remainder of the-evening was spent socially and with music ' and games. Miss Minnie Wigmore assisted In entertaining. A delicious luncheon was served. Miss 'Minnie Wigmore was made a member. - Those present were Misses Leona Wigmore. Monday afternoon the members of an auction-bridge club were hospitably entertained by Mrs. Fred Gobel at' her home, Cambridge City. Mrs. Gobel had as her honor guests Mrs. George Babcock and Mrs. Edwin Calloway of Cambridge City. Cards were played at two tables. The favors went to Mrs. Wiilliam Eikonberry, Mrs. George Babcock &vA Mrs. Edwin Calloway. After the game a delicious luncheon was served. The guests from this city were Mesdames George Held. the Phi Delta Kappa fraternity formed a theatre party at the Murray. Tha party was composed of Messrs. Adolpa Getz, Julian Dunbar, Howard Smith, Robert Tomlinson, Everett Skinner, Joe Smltbmeyer, Fred Bayer, William Williams and Homer Ramsey.

A' costume party was riven Monday afternoon when mem
bers of the Monday afternoon thimble club met at the home of Mrs. Walter Woodward, College avenue. The rooms were arranged with the Christmas colors. Many unique costumes were in evidence. One gown dated back in the eighties and was very pretty. Mrs. Woodward and Miss Olive Wildman were attractive in the wedding gowns of their mothers. The little son of Mrs. Paul Brown wore a dress which his father had worn when he was four years of age. All the gowns were very attractive, adding to the beauty of the scene presented by the many guests. Special guests of the club were Mrs. Ruf us Allen, Mrs. Spradling, Mrs. Raymond Binford and Mrs. Edwin Jay. The hostess served delicious refreshments.
