Charlie Schultz of New Castle, closed Tuesday evening with seven new members. The baptizing will be Sunday at Cambridge City.... Miss Mary Ammon and Mrs. Elmer Fagan have returned home after several days' visit in Henry county. Visit Pleasant Hill. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Brooks and family spent Thanksgiving with the latter's sister, near Pleasant Hill.... Miss Etta Hill, the primary teacher, went to her home near Bethel ts spend Thanksgiving. .. .Miss Bertha Beeson spent the week-end with friends at Webster. .. .Mrs. Oliver Morse of near Dublin, visited Mr. and Mrs. Chester Morse recently Mrs. James Underwood entertained the Ladies' Aid society Wednesday afternoon. The society will meet next Wednesday with Mrs. Wiskerson Mr. and Mrs. Will Brooks and son spent Thanksgiving with the former's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Isaac at Middleboro, and attended the funeral of Mr. Frank Bush Mr. and Mrs. Joe Blcse and son of Spiceland, O., are visiting relatives here this week.
MAY ALTER COMPLAINT
Motion to strike out parts of the complaint in the suit of Alfred Gray et al. against Clayton Hunt for fraud and recission of a contract and asking for $5,000 damages was partly sustained and partly overruled by Judge Fox in circuit court Tuesday, Several phrases inthe complaint which ' attacked Mr. Hunt's character were struck out.
HOLD INSTITUTE FOR TOWNSHIP
FOUNTAIN CITY, Ind., Dec. 6. Mrs. G. A. Dwiggins entertained informally In honor of Mrs. Ollie Baldwin of Muncie, Saturday evening. Those present were Mrs. L. O. Anderson, Mrs. George Snowalter, Mrs. Robert Borea, Mrs. Chalmer Augbee, Mrs. E. T. Smith, Mrs. Frank Taylor, Mrs. Jennie Scarce, and Misses Mildred Baldwin and Anna Thomas. The evening was spent with needlework. Light refreshments were served. The Township Sunday School Institute wa3 held last Sunday afternoon at the M. E. church. The different department superintendents represented their work. Rev. G. N. Hartley was appointed Teacher Training secretary. A good attendance of local workers was present and much interest was manifested.

The demurrer to the complaint in the suit of Ruby Lane against the Pennsylvania railroad to recover damages for personal injuries, $10,000, was overruled by Judge Fox in circuit court Tuesday.
