OCCULT POWERS SHOWN IN FILM

The Mysteries of Myra at the Lyric Monday, deal impressively with the occult forces. Thought transference, crystal gazing, thought photography, levitation and their kindred phenomena form the basis of a marvellous series of photo-dramas yet love is the note which throughout rings the strongest. The two elder sisters of Myra Maynard have mysteriously committed suicide upon their twenty-first birthdays. As the charming Myra approaches the fateful day she is subject to a series of strange experiences which point to the conclusion that she is to follow the path of her beloved sisters. DOLLAR AND LAW COMES TO MOVIE "The Dollar and the Law," the fivepart Vitagraph Blue Ribbon Feature starring the popular player, Lillian Walker, and which was produced as part of the nation-wide campaign for thrift, is the attraction at the Washington Theatre on Friday. This picture contains a preachment against the investment of earnings in concerns which offer large percents of interest. ; In fact, it makes clear the fact that most propositions offering more than five percent, are frauds. HART AS INDIAN IN NEW MOVIE William S. Hart will give his many admirers an opportunity to study him in a brand new characterization at the Murray Theatre, Sunday, when he Is presented by Thomas H. Ince as the star of an unusual Triangle-Kay Bee play by C. Gardner Sullivan, entitled "The Dawn Maker." The production has been heralded from the Ince studios as one of the most beautiful dramas ever seen on the screen and is being counted upon to win additional laurels for the already famous Hart. Washington If o 5 jE "A Stranger from Somewhere," at the Washington Theatre Monday and Tuesday Matinee MISS GISH PICKS WRONG HUSBAND For a number of months past Lillian Gish, of the Triangle-Fine Arts studio, has been asking for a role full of action and movements and with plenty of comedy. A list of available plays was gone over, but the stories failed to give a character sufficiently lively to please Mish Gish. Finally It was decided to produce "Diana of the Follies," which comes to the Murrette Wednesday, and when Miss Gish went into counsel with her director she discovered that Diana combined all the characteristics for which she had been looking.
