Tonight in the new Coliseum at New Castle, Referee Wllilams will signal 1 Freddie Long and Art Williams back to the cages. The remainder of the Muncie and New Castle lineups will brandish their war clubs. The whistle will sound, either Long or Williams will take the first swat at the elusive rubber, the fans will applaud vigorously and the 1916-17 season of the Indiana Polo League wilt be officially "on." Indications point to a regular opening night at New Castle. The Rose City population has taken to polo as it did in the olden times. The new Coliseum is not expected 'to hold the crowd. Where They Play Following up the opener tonight, Richmond and Muncie lift the Muncie lid Tuesday evenirig. The following night the Quakers journey to Now Castle. Richmond's fans will witness their first game Saturday night, when New Castle comes to the FIchmond Coliseum. The Indiana Polo League is being launched amid the best prospects for a tight race and a successful season. The four teams comprising the circuit Indianapolis, Muntle, New Castle and Richmond seem evenly matched. The best polo talent in, the states is listed among the, league teams. Personnel of the four teams . Includes many of- the old Western League stars as well as many who gained their reputations In the American Eastern League.

LEBANON WILL TEST RICHMOND STRENGTH
As a headliner of the fceliday week bill of basketball the Richmond high school team will . meet the i strong Lebanon 'five, one of the - runner-up teams in the state lists last year. The game will be played at the Collselm probably Friday evening, Dec. 29. This is an addition to the regular schedule. The Lebanon game promises to be one of the big cards of the season. Last Christmas vacation the R. H - S. five traveled to Lebanon and was defeated decisively. . Richmond thinks much of its chance vto come-back.
