HIGH HANKERS MAKE SCALP OF RUSH TEAM

S. basketball squad, "Bound for Rushville and Bound to Win," departed this morning. - The entire squad, in scrubs were sent together for a grand Manager Towle, was deported. Tbe student rooter following was to embark later in the day. The final workout pf the Lyboult proteges was held on the Coliseum floor yesterday. The varsity and scrubs were sent together for a grond free-for-all, after which the Irst stringers were sent through a stiff session of signal work. The team displayed an abundance of fighting spirit. Tonight's game will be played at the Rushville high school gym one of the best floors in the district. With no handicap to buck in this department R. H. S. should roll up a substantial majority. QUAKERS OPEN FRIDAY

A double bill in which the Quakers of Richmond and the representative Mooreland and Pendleton independent basketball teams will be the principals will open the season of the Quaker club at the Coliseum Friday evening, Dec. 1, manager Horace Parker of the local team, announced today. This will be the fjrst local appearance of the Quakers, who open their season at Mooreland Saturday night of this week.

HIGH DEGREE GIVEN

There were fourteen candidates ' from Liberty and New Castle. All small towns which expected to send delegations, were unable to do so because of lack of train connections. JURY ACQUIT8 MURDERER

HAMMOND, Ind., Nov. 24. A jury failed to punish John Kraveak, who was on trial for killing Stanley Kowsky. Kraveak arrived at his home unexpectedly one evening last August and found Kowsky and his wife drinking beer. He shot Kowsky dead. The jury returned a verdict of not guilty.
