So perfect ia the tone of this instrument that in both the vocal and instrumental numbers, during the Intervals in which the performers ceased accompanying the phonograph and allowed their own reproductions to be heard, alone, it was not possible to determine the line of musical clearage. This is a triumph of science and art and a wonderful -tribute to the mechanical genius of the inventor, the great Mr. Edison Richmond Palladium

As Miss Clark sang, from time to time she paused, permitting the record to be heard alone one could not be sure Just when she sang or when she did not, except by watching her lips. When the lights were turned out no difference could be distinguished. Miss Clark has a decidedly magnetic personality and won her large audience the moment she appeared on the stage Richmond Item,

On Tuesday afternoon Miss Helen Clark appeared at the Murray Theatre and sang in direct comparison with Mr. Edison's re-creations of her voice as rendered by a New Edison Phonograph. At times she stopped singing and the New Edison continued alone. The audience was composed largely of musically critical people', yet they were unable to tell when Miss Clark was singing and when it was the
New Lcuson except by watching the movement ot her lipsv v - v
Thus in Richmond it has been proven positively and irrefutably that the re-created music of the New Edison is so exactly like the artists' music that even the professional critics actually cannot tell the two apart.

The New Edison Phonograph is totally unlike the ordinary phonographs and talking machines. Instead of a mere approximate reproduction, the New Edison brings you an actual re-creation of the music. The re-creation is exactly like the singing or playing of the artist. It has the same warmth, richness and mellowness, and is not marred by artificial tone or mechanical sound. In spite of the strong claims made by almost every talking-machine manufacturer, the fact remains that no phonograph or talking-machine manufacturer except Edison, has dared to publicly make tone-tests like the one held here last Tuesday. If you expect to buy a phonograph your own interest demands that you consider the New Edison.
A most liberal plan has been arranged for early buyers who wish to purchase one of these magnificent instruments for Christmas. It enables you to enjoy the fairest and most liberal terms ever offered Richmond buyers. Let us explain it to you in detail.
