As a number of college students and other guests will be la town for the Thanksgiving vacation the social committee of the Country club for the month composed of Mrs. W. O. Crawford, Mrs. Omar Murray and Mrs. Charles McGulre will give the Thanksgiving dinner-dance on Wednesday evening instead of Tuesday as announced. All parsons are asked to heed this change In dates. All those who expect to go to the club house for dinner must notify the chef not later than Tuesday evening. Dinner will be at 6:30 o'clock after which there will be dancing. The Dixon Saxophone trio will play. , A pleasant surprise was given Miss Mary Pfeiffer last evening at? her home, National Road, West, by a number of her friends who came in old fashioned costume. Sheephead was played at five tables. Favors went to Miss Mary Pfeiffer and Mrs. Lawrence Pfeiffer. Later in the evening a delicious luncheon in several courses was served. The guests were Misses Constance Pardieck, Mary Heidelman, Mathilda Feldman, Flora Torbeck, Clara Schwegeman, Regina Broderick, Josephine Pfeiffer, Helen Pfeiffer, Ruth Gatzek, Mary Torbeck, Josephia Ramler, Loretta Korvis, Helen Berheide, Florence Gausepohl, Mrs. Charles Hayes, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Schepman, and Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Pfeiffer with Master Carl Pfeiffer. Circle Number 6 of the aid society of the First Presbyterian church was entertained yesterday afternoon by Mrs. Edward Wendling. The affair was in the nature of a silver tea. Eighteen members were present. This circle will have charge of the lunch and Japanese booths at the Bazaar to be given December 5 at the church. All arrangements were complete at this time. The rooms were arranged with flowers and ferns. Refreshments were served.
