Beautiful in all of its appointments was the reception given Thursday afternoon by Mrs. W. 0. Mendenhall at her home, College avenue, when she took this means of entertaining in honor of several visiting guests including Mrs. Alexander Purdy, Mrs. Ruf us Allen and Mrs. Benjamin Grave. Among the guests were wives of the Earlham College faculty in addition to a number of town guests.4
