MAIN STREET GIRLS WILL GIVE CONCERT TO HELP ECONOMY

ECONOMY, Ind, Not. 18.- Tuesday evening, Nov. 21, the young ladies quartet of East Main Street Friends church, Richmond, will give a sacred concert at the Economy Priends church for the benefit of the church. The program will begin at 7: SO o'clock and a small admission win be charged. . Remember the sweet singers and be present to hear them. - The Economy Friends CvE. Society gave a reciprocity social Friday night at their church, and their guests were the M. E. Epworth League members. ' It was a young people's event out of the ordinary which was a great success.,, ' Temperance day was observed at Morgan Creek Friends church Sunday. Rev. Logan Hunt, the regular pastor, delivered the sermon which was fine and was highly appreciated by the large audience present. Hear Temperance Sermon Attendance at the Economy Friends church Sunday was large and the sermon on temperance by Rev. . Oliver Frazer was exceptionally interesting and pleasing. Rev. Mr. Frazer has a splendid delivery and his excellent sermons attract many people to hear them. At the M. E. church Sunday night was Temperance night and Rev. Ray Ballard delivered the sermon. INDIANA DISTRICTS ELECT SUPERVISORS

INDIANAPOLIS, Nov. 16. Residents of Indiana who think they are to have' a rest from politics since the Presidential election Is over are mistaken. Another campaign in the state has started, and will continue until Saturday, Dec. 16. On that date road supervisors in the 1,016 townships in the state win be elected. In some districts little interest is taken and only a few votes will be cast. Under the law passed in 1915 the number of road supervisors in any one township ' shall not exceed four. A. supervisor receives 25 cents an hour for his work, and is not permitted to work more than fifty days in any one year, except in townships where there is only one supervisor. In no township shall his work extend over more than 120 days in a year. The polls for the election open at 2 o'clock in the afternoon and close at 5 o'clock. If all votes in the district have been case before 5 o'clock the polls may be closed earlier. The township trustee is the inspector of the election boards. Only in communities where there is unusual agitation concerning the conditions of the roads will more than passing interest be taken in the election. PALLADIUM WANT ADS PAY We

INDIANAPOLIS, Nov. 16. An electrical exhibit will be given here Dec. 2 to 9. All of the latest and most up to date devices and uses for electricity will be displayed. Various organizations are assisting the public utility companies in arranging the exposition. RED CROSS SEALS 60. ON SALE SOON INDIANAPOLIS, Nov. 16. The Indiana society for the Prevention of Tuberculosis will open its annual sale of red cross seals on November 22. However, the date may be changed a little by some of the local anti-tuberculosis organizations in that state to meet what they think best in their localities. Twice as many seals already have been ordered as were distributed in the entire campaign in 1914. About 80 percent of the counties in the state have an organization engaged in anti-tuberculosis work. Of all Red Cross sales receipts In Indiana 10 percent goes to the American Red Cross. The telegraph and telephone systems of the United States and Canada require about 4,000,000 poles a year for renewals along old lines and the erecting of new ones.
