The German Embassy, after causing the arrest of Dr. Armgaard Karl Graves, self-styled "international spy" for an alleged effort to blackmail the Countess von Bernstorff, wife of the German ambassador, will not appear to press the charge against him, It was said today. As a consequence Department of Justice officials do not see how he can be held at the only witnesses outside Embassy officials are government detectives.

; CENTERVILLE. Ind., Nov. 16. Re vival services at the M.E. cr.urch began Thursday. Rev. Raymond Ballard of Economy, who is to assist Rev. Mr. Pfeiffer with these meetings gave his first sermon Monday evening. His subject was, "The Unfinished Kingdom," Rev. Ballard's presented some excellent thought in his sermon and not only was his sermon well received but his earnestness and kindliness of manner won his listners. A cordial welcome Is expected by the members of this church to attend these meetings. TREFFINGER LEASES RICHMOND HOSPITAL EATON, O., Nov. 16. W. E. Treffinger, prominent farmer, living near New Hope, has been returned to his home from Reid Memorial hospital, Richmond, Ind., where he was rushed a few weeks ago. He fell from a farm wagon and sustained a fractured skull, which necessitated an operation. His condition has shown slight improvement but will demand the attention of a physician for some time. The percentage of Illiteracy in the country, taking the whole country together, is. about 10 . per cent.
