REVIVAL WORKERS CONVENE AT MILROY MILTON, Ind., Nov. 10. The revival conference of Connersville M. E. district will meet at the First M. E. church at Milroy, Tuesday and Wednesday, November 14-15. On Tuesday the Rev. F. M. Westhafer is on duty for a paper, entitled "Prayer as a Factor in Revivals." On Tuesday afternoon, the Rev. M. S. Taylor of Milton, is on duty to take part in the discussion of papers on "Preparation For Revivals." On Wednesday morning at 10:00 o'clock the Rev. A. R. Jones, another former pastor of Milton, is on duty for a' paper on "Professional and Pastoral Evangelism." The high school basketball team was defeated at Centerville Paul Conkle, of Richmond, was a guest of his cousin Harold Daniel, this week The Rev. M. S. INDIANAPOLIS, Ind., Nov. 10. J. Frank Hanly, who campaigned the country as Prohibition candidate for president, is satisfied with the outcome of the election. " He made his greatest campaign in the west, and Nebraska, Utah, South Dakota and Montana have entered the Yanks of the drys. Florida and Michigan also will have prohibition, this question being the issue but not being voted on directly in the first named state. "The head of the Anti-Saloon league has come out with a statement that in the future all political parties "must express themselves on the question of prohibition. This is directly opposite to the policy the league has been pursuing. W. J. Bryan has made a statement that regardless of the presidential election he would begin a fight for national prohibition. "We now have one-half of all the states in the union," he said ( today. "Thirty-six will do the work. The fight is irrepressible, and will not end until the nation is dry." COL. WINCHESTER. InL, Nor. 10. James P. Goodrich, now certainly elected governor, has received- congratulations from his opponent, J. A. M. Adair, and has issued a statement that he will keep his promises made before election. He said today: "The obligation is a great one and I am certain that I voice the sentiment of every Republican in Indiana when I say that every reform promised In our platform and every pledge made during the campaign will be carried out in good faith, if within the power of the executive and the Republican membership of the legislature to carry into effect the promises made."
