GOLDEN WEDDING HELD BY IONS
Golden wedding anniversaries are considered unusual in most cities of the United States, but not so in Richmond. The fifth golden anniversary observed by Richmond- people this year was celebrated Wednesday by Mr. and Mrs. George L. Irwin, 411 North Seventh street v ' The four other couples who are observing their fiftieth year of wedded life and who were present at the celebration are: Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin

Duke, 253 South Third street; Mr. and Mrs. M. Jasper Roberts, 119 Randolph street; Mr. and Mrs. Thaddeus C. Personett, 1120 Boyer street, and Mr. and Mrs." Argus C. Ogborn, 724 North Tenth street. , ' . : . .- The men In each Instance were soldiers in the Civil war. Mr. Personett, Mr. Roberts and Mr. Irwin were members of Company E of the famous Sixty-Ninth Indiana regiment. All five families have been life long friends. The same romantic story will apply to any couple of the group: ' "When the call came for volunteers, the young man left his sweetheart while he went to the front to fight to preserve the dignity of the flag but as soon as he received his honorable discharge, he returned and married her." The Irwin reception Wednesday afternoon marked the close of the Golden wedding celebration in this city for 1916. It was estimated that a hundred friends called during the day. ; - Early Wednesday morning, Mr. Irwin, 78, presented his wife, 69, with a new wedding ring. Many valuable gifts were presented to the couple. SEES RICHMOND PLAY

Combing Won't Rid Hair Of Dandruff
The only sure way to get rid of dandruff is to dissolve it, then you de
stroy it entirely. To do this, get about
four ounces of ordinary liquid arvon;
apply it at night when retiring; use
enough to mosten the scalp and rub it in gently with the finger tips.
Do this tonight, and by morning.
most if not all, of your dandruff .will
be gone, and three or four more appli
cations will completely dissolve and entirely destroy every single sign and
trace of it, no matter how much dan
druff you may have.
.You will find, too, that all itching and digging of the scalp will stop at once, and your hair will be fluffy,
lustrous, glossy, silky and soft, and look and feel a hundred times better, f
You can get liquid arvon at any drug store. It is inexpensive and never
fails to do the work. ' ' Adv,
