ANDERSON PRAISES LYBOULT'S PLAYERS Devoting a half column on the merits of the Richmond hiph school basketball team, the "Bulletin" of Anderson intimates strongly that the Andersonians are taking seriously the game with Richmond at Anderson a week from tonight. The compliment in part: Richmond high school basketball fans are very optimistic over their prospect for winning the state championship this year and apparently have Borne reason to substantiate that claim. Richmond has a heavy quintet and her new coach Lyman Lybo'ult is not worried over a lack of material. In Scotland 23.8 per cent, of illuminating gas is made in municipal works to 51.4 per cent. In Ireland and 30.6 per cent, in England.'

The two cakes would mean a lot to us when we handle them in quantities of a thousand." Wholesale Price Jumps. There is a uniformity of opinion that the wholesale price of bread must be increased from four to five cents a - loaf. Two sizes of bread brought in -from other cities are already, selling at six and twelve cents and the demand is as heavy as under previous prices. The increase is so imminent that advertising matter is ready in one bakery. " Loaves are now being weighed at 12 ounces or 25 ounces in double loaves for ten cents. Prices in most other cities bakers said, are six cents for 11 ounces. "We could afford to add to our 12 ounce loaf slightly if we charged six cents," said one. He declared bakers would have to buy new" pans and equip ment to decrease the size of loaves which would be a decided disadvantage to consumers. The bigger the loaf the less the waste, he said. Price Remains Steady Bread has been five cents for the past quarter of a century. Before that time, with fiour at $7 to $7.50 a barrel, the price of bread was seven cents a loaf straight to dealers. In Richmond until three years ago, for the past 15 or 20 years grocers bought bread at ZV2 cents a loaf and sold it six loaves for a quarter. One morning the delivery men from one of the master bakeries announced that three days later bread would be four Stop Catarrh! Richmond Raises a Pertinent Question When a neighbor tells us that he haS recovered from a serious illness, the first question that naturally arises is,. "How long .will he .keep well?" Temporary relief is one thing, but a lasting cure is altogether different. There is nothing temporary about the work of Doan's Kidney Pills as the following evidence proves beyond a doubt. "Miss Sarah Hamilton, 310 N. 9th St., - Richmond, says: "For several years I had been subject to sciatic rheumatism, beginning in my back and extending to my shoulders: I was also subject to headaches. I could find nothing that would help me until I got Doan's Kidney Pills at Luken &"Co.'s Drug Store. They made me feel like a different woman." (Statement given on Dec. 12, 1908.) On - Sept. 14; 1915, Miss -Hamilton said: - "The cure that Doan's Kidney Pills gave me has been permanent. I am always glad to say a good word for them." : Price 50c at all dealers.
