' AMUSEMENTS AT LOCAL HOUSES

PALACE "The Pillory," a Pathe Gold Rooster play produced by Thanhouser, -which is to be presented at the Palace theater today, Is a graphic story of Intolerance, said to rival in interest that of D. W. Griffith's pictures, and it gets the point over in live reels of swift, attention-compelling action. In the story by Philip Lonergan, a mother is fighting for fair play at the hands of society for her child. "The Scarlet Letter" Is probably the

most widely read American novel. It is a powerful story of old New England. "The Pillory" is said to be an equally powerful play of today in every way worthy of being released as a Pathe Gold Roster play.

"What can I do". That's the big question lip-

the highest prices in 40 years and they want to know how to hit back. SeRS UHKJL60"

Hit back with home baking! You would be astonished how much you could save and how much better things to eat you could serve by home baking. Every other staple food meat, eggs, milk, cheese, sugar, potatoes, beans, etc. is two to ten times as high priced in nutritive value as white flour. White flour is far the cheapest and finest food. In bakery products alone bread, rolls, coffeecake, etc. you can save at least one-half by baking at home. And there are scores of delicious vegetable dishes you. can make with white flour. (Write us for recipes.) But the biggest saving comes this way "good home-baking taste s so much better that folks will eat much more of it and therefore they'll eat much less of costlier foods like meat, eggs, etc. Fine flour is the biggest aid to home-baking. How much you save by home Daking depends on how good the baking is: and that depends on how good the flour is. If you want to know whatfw baking you can do, try Valier's Enterprise Flour. -The (inequality of Valier's Enterprise Flour is due to the finest Turkey Red Hard Wheat, milled in the finest way. To get. the finest wheat, we send our own men to the wheat fields. This fine wheat is screened and washed until glistening clean; then milled slowly to save all its fine baking quality; then sifted many times through white silk until its texture is so fine it floats in the air. Superfine quality with superfine texture makes Valier's Enterprise the perfect all-purpose flour as fine for cake and pastry as for bread, and finer for all baking than any ordinary flour. Won't "you try this flour? Order a sack from your grpcer today. Guaranteed to make more and better baking than any ordinary flour. Awarded 1st prizes for bread at both Indiana and Illinois State Fairs, September 1916. Awarded 1st prize for best family hard wheat flour d St. Louia Agricultural Fair October 1916.
