GLENWOOD, Ind., Nov. 2. Samuel D. Miller, well-known attorney of Indianapolis, who is the senior member of the firm of Miller, Dalley and Thompson, with which his father, the Tenerable Wm. II. H. Miller, former Attorney-General of the United States, vas identified during the active years of his practice, addressed a large and er.thsuiastlc audience here last night. Mr. Miller discussed tho violation of American rights under the present Democratic administration, the enactment of the Adamson law, and the Democratic slogan, "He kept us out of war," but the feature of his address was a discussion of the merits of the Republican candidates for governor and United States senator. Mr. Miller also referred to the career of Judge D. W. Comstock, Republican candidate for congress in the Sixth district. 1 "There is a gentleman, who is your candidate for Congress In this District. I refer to Judge Daniel W. Comstock, a courtly gentleman, a man of ripe years, wisdom and experience, a high-minded, conscientious American, a fit man to represent this great District in the Congress of the United States. I am sure that you will do all that you can to insure his election," he said.

Markley, South Seventh street, Wednesday afternoon when she entertained members of Circle 5 of the aid society of the First Presbyterian church. Between each statue representing fairies white satin ribbons fell In graceful lines and were fastened with bows of ribbons. The place cards were white and green parasols. Bon bon boxes in the form of wedding bells and filled with delicious confections were given the guests as favors. At each corner were small crystal baskets. On the buffet and serving table were vases filled with flowers. Places were arranged at the table for twelve guests.

RAZES OLD HOUSES ON SCHOOL PROPERTY
Wrecking of the dwelling houses on the school property adjoining the Garfield junior high school in South Twelfth street has been started by James Heath, contractor. The buildings will be raised as soon as possible to make way for the new Garfield addition, construction of which is to be started next spring. A new kitchen utensil is a cutter for removing the cores from vegetables in the form of a long spiral that can be used if wished. .
