A cumber of reservations were made ; this morning for the luncheon-auction , bridge party given at the Country club , by members of the October social committee with Mrs. George Seidel, hostess. Eleventh street Halloween decorations were - used, in arranging the rooms. Auction-bridge was played at two tables and there were attractive favors. A delicious luncheon was served. The guests were Miss Mary IllfT, Miriam Krone, Grace Kelly, Olive Lewis, Gladys Bailey, Nell Becher and Mrs. Everett McConaha. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Krone. Miss Miriam Krone and Miss Olive Lewis motored to Oxford, Ohio, today. Mrs. Edward H. Harris Is spending a few days in Indianapolis. Mrs. Edgar F. Hiatt, of Reeveston, is in Memphis, Tennessee, for a visit. A pleasant surprise was given last evening on Mr. and Mrs. Ben. Sostmeyer at their home, South Thirteenth street. The guests were dressed as ghosts. After the unmasking, cards were played at four tables, the favors going to the Messrs. Uphaus and Al Korthaus, Mrs. C. Korthaus and Mrs. George Lammert. An inviting lunch was served in three courses. Those present were Messrs and Mesdames Ben Uphaus, Estel Routh, George Lammert, George Pille, Frank Ayers, Albert Korthaus, Fred Jarvis, Ben. Sostmeyer and Mrs. Gus Taube, Pauline Pille, Clarence Korthaus, Helen Pille, Loraine Uphaus, and Howard Uphaus. Miss Corinne McLear entertained the Laetus class of the Second Presbyterian church last evening with a Halloween party at her home, east of the city. The guests came masked. A Halloween lunch was served. Miss Regina Klinger, North Twentieth street, who has been ill, is not quite 60 well. Her many friends will regret to learn of her illness.
