WALTER BOSSERT MAKES PUBLIC CAMPAIGN PLAN
Walter Bossert, Republican district chairman, at his headquarters In this city today outlined a plan of campaign In Wayne county -which will begin tomorrow and continue until the Saturday preceding the election, Monday, November 7. This campaign, during its two weeks progress, will be waged in every nook and corner of the county. Bosserfs plan of campaign follows: Saturday, Oct. 21 Pole raising in the afternoon at Olive Hill, and evening meeting at Centerville, both to be addressed by James Bingham, former attorney-general. Meeting of Colored G. 0. P. Monday, Oct. 23 Meeting of colored Republicans at court house In evening. Address by Gurley Brewer of Indianapolis, editor of a colored newspaper. Tuesday, Oct. 24 District rally in Richmond, evening meeting at coliseum to be addressed by James E. Watson. Parade to precede meeting. At 10 in morning address by Watson at Cambridge City. At noon street meeting at North Thirteenth and E streets, address by Watson. Wednesday, Oct. 25. County organization meeting of Republican workers at court house, 7:30 p. m. Thursday, Oct. 26 Shop meeting at noon, speaker announced later. Same speaker to address meetings in evening at Jacksonburg, 7 o'clock. Greensfork, 8 o'clock. Meeting at Milton, 7:30 p. m., A. J. E. P. Jones, president of the Wayne county Sunday school association has asked all county and township officers and department superintendents to meet at the Y. M. C. A. at 2:30 o'clock. In addition to a discussion of plans, the officials will review progress of the last four months. FRIENDS COMMITTEE PREPARES POLICIES For the first time In the history of the Five Years Meeting of Friends, a program of policy is being outlined by the executive committee in session at the South Eighth Street Friends church this afternoon. The program will be put up for consideration of the Five Year Meeting here next October. It outlines the policy of the church for the Ave years following 1917. FRIENDS OPEN GENERAL OFFICE HERE NEXT YEAR Plans for establishment of general office of the Five Year Meeting of Friends in Richmond, January 1, are being completed at the executive oommittee meetings being held today in the South Eighth Street Friends church. The general office Is at present in Pasadena, California. The present general secretary, Joseph J. Mills will turn over the office to Dr. Charles Woodard of this city, January 1. Efforts are being made to find suitable location where all officers of the Five Years Meeting can be established close together. The offices of tha American Friend and of the American Board of Foreign Missions are in the Second National Bank building. ing secretary J. J. Mills was prepared this morning. Mr. Mills was complimented for his ability as a statesman and as a business manager. Although Mr. Mills Is giving up the office of general secretary, he will retain his position as clerk of the next Five Year Meeting. Important steps toward the re-organization of boards of control for the American Friend were under consideration today. -Recommendations of the committee of seven for the re-organizatlon and combination of several committees of Ine Five Year Meeting were heard. The recommendations were taken under consideration and the committee v,&3 advised to continue its work and investigations. Another meeting of the committee will be held shortly before the Five Year Meeting here next fall and the changes will be one of the most Important things before the conference. ; The business of the executive committees of the Five Year Meeting which have been in sesBlon is being brought to a close.

Deaths and Funrala . PHELPS Matilda A. Phelps, 21, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Phelps, 133 North Eighteenth street, died at the home today. ,. Besides the parents, three sisters and four brothers survive. The funeral will be held fcom the home Sunday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock. Interment will be in the Earlham cemetery. While attempting to catch the 5:45 o'clock fnterurban car at Fifth and Main street last night, Milo Williams, Centerville, was struck by an east bound street car. . . A deep gash was cut in his forehead end his body was badly bruised in several places. After receiving medical attention Wililams was sent to his home. He was weak from loss of blood.

President Samuel Rea, of the Pennsylvania railroad, with some forty officials of the road, on a tour of inspection spent last evening in Richmond while en route to Philadelphia from St. Louis on the return trip of the tour which started from Philadelphia Monday.
