WAR PRICES STRIKE "TECH" AT CARNEGIE
PITTSBURGH,, Pa., Oct.. 14. Because of the extraordinary war prices in building materials now prevailing,
the erection of a concrete stadium, seating 4,000 persons for Carnegie Institute of Technology, will be postponed until next year. For the same reason the erection of a new gynaslura and an extention of the present buildings of applied science, will not be bebun until next spring. The building program involved an estimated expenditure of 600,000. Officials said the
postponement would mean no real halt In the "Tech" expansion program but would enable the building bureau to develop new plans to meet the new conditions.
