Boytown Mayor Harris could not resist the attractions of a beautiful young lady and so he has a date for the Senior automobile ride, October 13. This is also the date of the Boytown nominating convention. He is now figuring how he can get out of being present at the nominating convention at which he was scheduled to preside.

"TWILIGHT SLEEP" LECTURER IS HERE MRS. ROBERT LIGGETT That American families will be larger when motherhood is made easier, is one of the claims of Mrs. Robert B. Liggett, of St. Paul, Minnesota, who is making a lecture tour through this 6tate on "Twilight Sleep," the painless method of childbirth, and will Ins in this city at The Washington Theatre Oct. 6 and 7. Mrs. Liggett is representing the Western Motherhood Educational association and is conducting an educational campaign to urge that women demand relief from the danger and suffering incident to motherhood. "Statistics show that only fourteen per cent, of Twilight Sleep births suffer any pain," Mrs. Liggett says. "Eighty per cent, of all births should be absolutely painless. The drugs used in TwUight Sleep produce a state of forgetfulness, wherein pain is present but is not registered by the brain. W do not want women to accept Twilight Sleep without thoroughly investigating it, and without being sure that their physicians are competent to administer it."
