For Catarrhal Deafness and Head Noises Here in America there is much suffering from catarrh and head noises. American people would do well to coneider the method employed by the English to combat this insldous disease. Everyone knows how damp the English climate is and how dampness affects those suffering from catarrh. In England they treat catarrhal deafness and head noises as a constitutional disease and use an internal remedy for it that is really very efficacious. Sufferers who could scarcely hear a watch tick tell how they had their hearing restored by this English treatment to such an extent that the tick of a watch was plainly audible seven and eight inches away from either ear. Therefore, if you know someone who is troubled with catarrh, catarrhal deafness or head noises, cut out this formula and hand it to them and you will have been the means of saving gome poor sufferer perhaps from total deafness. The prescription can be easily prepared at home for about 75c and is made as follows: From your druggist obtain 1 oz. of Parmint (Double Strength,) about 75c worth. Take this home, and add to it 1-4 pint of hot water and 4 ounces of granulated sugar; stir until dissolved. Take a tablespoonful four times a da'. Parmint Is used in this way not only
to reduce by tonic action the inflamition and swelling in the Eustachian Tubes, and thus to equalize the air pressure on the drum, but to correct my excess of secretions in the middle tar, and the results it gives are usually remarkably quick and effective. Every person who has catarrh in iny form should give this recipe a Ml and free themselves from this lestructive disease.

BRUTE' STRENGTH IS IN DODGERS FAVOR
BY TAD. NEW YORK, Oct 6. Just spoke to "Demon Runyon," president emeritus of the Hard Boiled Eggs. . ' y ; He says that . he likes Brooklyn to win the series, and is picking them on brute strength alone. That's no kid, either. They do resemble Jess Willard a lot when you stop to think of footwork, high and fancy diving, blocking and the like. Willard is such an awful chunk of beef that the other poor mitt-' pushers have little chance with him. Same way with Brooklyn. The boys certainly are a well fed bunch. Fast as a coal truck on the paths, something like a sleepy guy when they think, but, oh, Lady! ! How they can pickle the old pill when they get going. I like the Dodgers myself. Their pitchers are just as good as Boston's. The bean-eaters may have a shade, but In the world's series, you know, many stars are made overnight. Coombs and Marquard certainly look trained to the minute, and if each of them does not win a game there's going to be a bunch of disappointed dopesters. .

COUNTY BOARD TO OPEN BIOS ON BRIDGE JOB
For the first time in the , history of Wayne county, the commissioners tomorrow will consider a bid made on a contractor's plans for bridge repairs at the same time that it considers estimates on the same work made from the county surveyor's plans. Claiming that he is a wooden bridge expert and can repair them better under his own estimates, Louis Bower Flemingsburg,.Ky., has submitted bids and plans for repairing the historic old wooden bridges between Fountain City and Lynn over Noland's Fork and Buck run. Bids for the following other bridges will also be opened and considered by the commissioners: hollow tile arch and concrete headwalls on the Richmond, Greensfork pike; Williamsburg bridge, Perry township; Stanley bridge culvert Perry township. The commissioners will probably decide upon a successor for Frank Strayer as Justice of the Peace.
REFUSES TO PARDON CLARENCE PARKER
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind., Oct. 6. The state board of pardons, in a report to Governor Ralston today, refused to recommend clemency be extended to Clarence Parker, sentenced from Henry county to life imprisonment in 1913 for the murder of a man named White at Richmond. The board appended letters of court officials showing that Parker brutally killed White, knocking him down In a saloon brawl and trampling his face. The letters protested against any show of clemency. The board asked the governor to read the letters and to refuse clemency.

Simple Way to End Dandruff
There is one sure way that has
never failed to remove dandruff at once, and that is to dissolve it, then
you destroy it entirely. To do this
just get about four ounces of plain, common liquid arvon from any drug
store (this is all you will need,) apply
it at night when retiring; use enough to moisten the scalp and rub It in
gently with the finger tips. By morning, most if not all, of your dandruff Will be gone, and three or
four more applications will completely
dissolve ana entirely destroy every single sign and trace of it, no matter how much dandruff you may have. You will find all itching and digging of the scalp will stop instantly, and your hair will be fluffy, lustrous, glossy, silky and soft, and look and
feel a hundred times better. Adv.
