A Somme drive that was not uncorked until the final inning netted the Kremos four runs but Inasmuch as the Bankers had accumulated five of the same in the five preceding chapters, all the excitement of the C-L session at the lot last evening went for naught. Fred Ford Bethard. on the elevation for the Bankers, had started his mates off at the pole. Up until the final round when huge clusters of darkness were settling down on Athletic park, Bethard had the Bayer crowd on his wagon. But in that final, things began to happen that for a time threatened a Banker disaster. By winning this one the Bankers move up another peg and now hold third position honors. WEBB IS ELIGIBLE FOR HIGH QUINTET Richmond high school basketball stock gained a few points today when it became certain that Howard "Warhorse" Webb, one of the best basketball men in school, who has been out of the game for two years because of ineligibility rulings, would be in a position to make the team this year. Webb, who is a husky forward and one of the scrappiest veterans of the Hi basketball colony, will mean much to the strength of the prospective state champs. Harold Norris, another semi-dependable, who has lifted a faculty ben, intimates that his army training this summer should mean a lot of scrap for somebody this fall when the fight for regular berths starts. CAN BOY OFFICERS ARREST GIRLS WHO RIDE ON SIDEWALK
Do Boytown policemen have Jurisdiction over girls? ' This question has been presented to Police Commissioner Frederick Fromm, and at present he is investigating its legal technicalities. The question arose when a complaint was registered with the commissioner, about the patrolmen not performing their duties. Wednesday evening, a little girl rode a bicycle down the sidewalk on North Ninth street all the way from Main. In doing so she violated one of the most stringent . ordinances in the Boytown code. Yet not a boy policeman mo lested her. Fromm reported today that the net is tightening around an east end boy who despite several warnings from Second Sergeant Edward Beattle is continuing his . practice of riding a bicycle on the sidewalks and of running across lawns. WANT FOUR OFFICERS Four additional policemen are needed for Boytown. Those who want positions are asked to apply to Frederick Fromm or Roland Cutter, police commissioners. One of these four patrolmen must be a colored boy. HOT WATER THE BEST LIVER AND BOWEL MEDICINE Says Glass of Hot Water Before Breakfast Washes Poisons From System. . Physicians the world over recommend the inside bath, claiming this is of vastly more importance than outside cleanliness, because the skin pores do not absorb impurities Into the blood, causing ill health, while the pores in the ten yards of bowels do. Men and women are urged to drink each morning, before breakfast, a glass of hot water with a teaspoonful of limestone phosphate in it, as a harmless means of helping to wash from the stomach, liver, kidneys and bowels the previous day's Indigestible material, poisons, sour bile and toxins; thus cleansing, sweetening and purifying the entire alimentary canal before putting more food into the stomach. - Just as soap and hot water cleanse and freshen the skin, so hot water and limestone phosphate act on the eliminative organs. Those who wake up with bad breath, coated tongue, nasty taste or have a dull, aching head, sallow complexion, acid stomach; others who are subject to bilious attacks or - constipation, should obtain, a quarter pound of limestone phosphate at the drug store. This will cost very little but is sufficient to demonstrate the value of inside bathing. Those who continue it each morning are assured of pronounced results, both in regard to health and appearance.
