TRANSFERS GRANTED FROM OTHER COUNTY TO DUBLIN SCHOOLS

Contrary to previous statements that they woud grant no more transfers to schools located out of their counties, tiustees of Dudey township, Henry coun'y, and Posey township, Fayette courty, have agreed to pay the necessary tuition to Dublin for all students who live In their townships within a Ehort distance of the historic town just over the Wayns county line. These transfers have aways been piven in previous years without question but because of the new transfer law which went Into effect last year making the tuitions much higher, the

Irusteos early this spring announced that they would grant no transfers this fall. Petitions Were Circulated The people immediately circulated petitions and filed them asking that a new school district be formed with Dublin as a center and taking In sursoundlng territory in Jackson township, Wayne county, Dudley tovnship, Henry county, and Posey township, Fayette county. Athough the trustees of all the townships concerned agreed that such a district would be better for the patrons concerned, they voted down the petitions saying that it would not be the best thing for the townships. However, after they voted down the petitions they did not hesitate to grant the transfers. This decision of the trustees meant about eighteen more students for the jDubin schools when they opened jMonday. "The petitions for the formation of

a new school district have not been dropped because of this action of the trustees, however," said G. E. Moore, ia member of the Dublin school board foday." Within a short time an appeal will be tried before Superintendent Williams.

MORROW LIKES TEXAS CLIMATE ALONG BORDER

"Everything fine and the climate is better than that of Indiana," writes Harry Morrow, Second Regiment, Ohio National Guard, who arrived at Camp Bliss, Tex., a few days ago. Morrow is a brother of Dr. Roy Morrow of this city, and a son of Mrs. Will Morrow of Chester, left the Columbus ( O.) training camp about ten days ago. The

trip to Fort BSiss required about five days. In a letter to his mother Morrow asserts that the trip of the Ohio National guard was made under the most favorable conditions, and that the soldier boys were afforded every convenience. I "Camp Bliss is an engaging spot and as near home-like as the government and its money can make it. The climate here is fine. Better than that of Indiana. The water is not the best, -but at. that the soldiers have no kick coming," writes Morrow. New York city factory 1914 output

A discussion on revenue followed.

The finance committee had no report

(Toilet Talks) A stiff paste made with some powdered delatone and water and spread

on a hairy surface about 2 minutes

will, when removed, take every trace of hair with it. The skin should then be washed to free it from the remaining delatone. No harm can result from this treatment, but be sure it is delatone you get and you will not be disappointed. Adv.
