HART AND COMPANY LABOR IN STORM TO GET SETTINGS

Several of ths little touches of realIsm for -which Thomas H. Ince ha3 been uotad, appear in "The Apostle of Vendeance,1 at the Murrette Sunday, the Inee-Triangle drama bj Monte M. Katterjobn in which William S. Hart is starred. From the opening iris to the final "dissolve-out," thi3 narrative of the Kentucky mountain fuedists is replete with evidence that Producer Ince went to extremes . to obtain "amosphere." One of the most striking scenes in the production is a fierce rainstorm in the mountairs. Hart and his company were filming some interiors, one day, when a terrific storm broke suddenly in the mountains adjoining. Hurriedly, the actor-director changed his apparel to that prescribed in the manuscript and gathering those of his company that were needed he hastened into the mountains. There was just sufficient light for photography and for forty minutes the troupe labored in a torrent of rain.

TODAY. "The Turquoise Mine Conspiracy," second in the completed western series, "The Girl From Fisco," and complete and finished episode of which appears on the screen at the Arcade every Saturday, will be shown this afternoon and evening. The beautiful photography and scenery shown in this picture carries one to the wilds of a western mining camp, and the intrepid nerve and daring of Marin Sais (taking the role of the Girl from Frisco), as a dauntless girl f.chtiig ?. hitter battle against almost insurmountable odds, is satisfying in the extreme to those who like the best to be found in photo-play.

MONDAY. "Hurled Through a Drawbridge" is not only the title on the Arcade's program for Monday, hut is an actual occurar.ee in "The Hazards of Helen" series. A thrilling automobile race, a speeding hand car plunging through an open drawbridge, and other daring acts typical of the intrepid, nervy Helen Gibson, make this episode a real breath-taker.

"The Red Widow," a photo-adaptation of the celebrated comedy by Channing Pollock and Rennold Wolf, in which John Barrymore is starred as Cicero Hannibal Butts, is the Famous Players Film Company's current Paramount picture playing at Murrette Tuesday. The comic predicaments in which the distinguished corset salesman finds himself, involving the Russian Secret Police and innumerable Nihilists, with a marked penchant for bomb throwing, give John Barrymore the best opportunity he has had since becoming a photoplay star.
