hensive understanding of the work that the Social Service bureau is doing,
in its efforts to stamp out disease and

more healthful.

Grooming Babies Babies that have been entered in the Better Baby contest are being dieted and bathed in preparation for the crucial test, the judging which will be conducted by local physicians between September 5 and 9. At the time of registration, the parents are instructed when to return with the children next week. If the child is along when the registration is made, Miss Mahin, will upon application of the parent, make an examination and offer suggestions.

Miss Alice Nielsen, soptano, formerly . with the New York and Boston Grand Opera companies, comes to Eaton Friday evening to render a concert under the auspices of the Redpath Chautauqua bureau, Columbus. The concert will be held on the grounds at the south building. " Miss Neilsen was" scheduled to" appear in a concert at couple of months ago during the annual Chautauqua assembly, but because of cold and a throat trouble she was prevented. Her return at a later date was at that time guaranteed by the Chautauqua bureau.
