Ferris, mother of Charles Ferris, of this place, -was 84 years old Thursday, la honor of the occasion, her granddaughter, Mrs. Roy Mills and family of Straughn. was at dinner with her at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Ferris Amos Outland, a Friends minister, of Dublin, has- bought the property of Mrs. E. A. Kuhns, here. Consideration, $600. The property is located on West Main street, and con. tains a one-story house, in good repair. Attends Fayette Fair. GET PHTHISIS VICTIMS AWAY FROM HOUSES "It Is useless to quarantine tuberculosis patients in their homes although it may be done," Miss Mary Kennedy, county visiting nurse said today when it was pointed out that a case has never been quarantined in Wayne county. "The thing that wants to be done is to get the patient away from his home where other members of the family are liable to contract the germs. Tubercular people are usually confined to their homes." Miss Mabel F. Allen, of Mt. Vernon. Me., found an unusual pond lily recently. It had two stems grown to other their entire length and a double hinRRom concealed in one set of petals. BOSTON WOMAN RECOMMENDING IT TO HER FRIENDS Popular Boston Lady Says Tonollne Has Proven a Godsend to Her. It is always Interesting to listen to the statements of our friends, and especially when you know they are sincere and honest in what they say. Added interest is created in a statemont coming from one who has spent a lifetime in Boston, where she is well known socially. Such a person is Annie Stewart, who resides in Boston, and is posessed of the respect and confidence of her associates, and is willing for anyone to call on her to verify the following signed testimonial: "I have suffered with 6tomaca trouble for the past seven years'. It took the form of indigestion and dyspepsia. I had dizzy spells and headaches, and after I ate a little food it would ferment and cause gas to form in my stomach. I had pains all over my body and was chronically constipated. My liver was torpid and I felt generally miserable. I had doctored and had been in the hospital, but received no permanent relief. I was so nervous and restless that at right I could scarcely sleep. The gas pressing under my heart caused palpitation, and when I arose in the morning I was just as tired as when I retired. About two weeks ago I began to take tonoline, and I can truthfully state that it has done wonders in my case. I am feeling like a new woman and can eat any kind of food. I sleep the night through and have no more aches or pains; in fact, it has cured me, and I am recommending it to all of my friends as It has been a God-send to me." ' M. J. Quigley's drug stores sell and guarantee tonoline. , There are numerous symptoms of this trouble that tonoline can relieve. In fact any of the following may denote affections of the stomach: Indigestion, dyspepsia, belching of wind, bad breath, sick throbbing headache, poor circulation, night sweats, that tired feeling, costiveness, coated tongue or a poor complexion. Caution: As tonoline is recommended as a flesh builder those not wishing to Increase their weight. 15 ipound or more should sot take It looatinuouBly,
THANK VOU HYGIENE LECTURES BY COUNTY NURSE IN RURAL SCHOOLS Hygiene lectures by the county visiting nurse will be a part of the regular courses in the schools of the townships and small Incorporated towns of Wayne county this year. The lectures wjll deal with the proper care of the body with the prevention of disease. Medical .inspection has been provided for in none of the schools outside of Richmond, and Miss Kennedy will have to depend upon the co-operation of the teachers to find students, who because of their physical condition, do not belong in the schools. The teachers will notify the nurse and she in turn will see that a thorough examination is provided. NEW JERSEY GUARDS PASS THROUGH CITY Recruits for the New Jersey national guard, in camp at Douglas, Ariz., passed through Richmond yesterday morning. The party numbered 112 and had left Dupont, Dela., where they have been in training, early Wednesday. The recruits were traveling on a special train of Pullman cars. A newly organized band for one of the New Jersey regiments included thirty, members of the party and the other men were for all branches of service. The United States last year produced 3,863,152 short tons of sulphuric acid. Indigestion and Constipation. .. "I recently discovered in Chamberlain's Tablets the first medicine to give . me positive and lasting relief. Prior to'their use I suffered frequently from indigestion and constipation," writes Mrs. Anna Kadin, Spencerport, N. Y. Obtainable everywhere. Adv.
