It is esU1 mated that over 1,000 machine! passed here Thursday morning enroute for the Connersvllle fair. -An estimate was made In which there was an aver age of 250 per hour. The machines were loaded and it was estimated that the average would be from four to five for each auto. Adair Speak Monday. Mr. Adair will speak In the Interests of his candidacy for governor, on the Democratic ticket, here Monday evening. It is said that he will speak from his auto Mrs. Will Jeffreys, also the Rev. Ralph Whitely and mother, Mrs. Cyrus Whitely were at Dublin Thursday to attend Friends Monthly Meeting..... Amos Huddleston of Mt. Auburn, was at his son's, H. D. Huddleston, Thursday. He accompanied his eon to Connersvllle to attend, the fair Mr. and Mrs. "Will Logan and family, of Paris, 111., are guests of Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Manloce. Mr. Logan and Mrs. Manlove are brother and sister. They came through in the auto Mrs. M. V. Brown is spending a few days with Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Voorhees of Richmond David Sands, who has been visiting in Richmond, visited bis uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. F. M. Jones, Wednesday.

COUNCIL DEADLOCKED ON ELECTRIC PROJECT
OXFORD, O., Aug. 25. Indications point to a deadlock in Council on the question of rehabilitating the village electric light plant, or purchasing current from Richmond. Ind. Last night's meeting developed the fact that Bradford. Fighter and Ramsey favor the former proposition; Abbott, Bradfield and Gillespie, the latter. Meanwhile the Board of Public Affairs Is powerless to make a move.

The trustee . of Perry township, Wayne county, proposes for the yearly expenditures and tax levies, by the Advisory - Board at its annual meeting, to be held at trustee's office on the 1st Tuesday of September, 3016. commencing at 1 o'clock P. M., the following estimates and amounts for said year: .... Township expenditures, $625, and township tax, 10 cents on the hundred dollars. Local tuition expenditures, $2,200.00 and tax, 33 cents on the, hundred dollars. Special school . tax,, expenditures. $4,000.00, and tax 50 cents on the hundred dollars. Road tax expenditures. $S00, and tax,-10 cents on the hundred dollars. School house bond expenditures, $1,500, and tax, 25 cents on the hundred dollars. Equipment fund expenditures, $200. and tax, 5 cents on the hundred dollars. Total expenditures, $9,325, and total tax, $1.35 cents on the hundred dollars. The taxables of the above named township are as follows: Total valuation of lands and improvements, $421,170. Total value of personal property,
