On Saturday afternoon at the borne of Miss Lula Faucett, the Misses Faucett and Edna Semler gave a lovely social event In honor of Miss Marcla Wise, then the bride elect of Grover Sloniker, both of the eastern neighborhood. The party was given as a "white shower" and a part of the afternoon was spent In sewing for the bride. The remainder of the afternoon was spent in amusing contests, features being a heart hunt and menu guessing. Later in the afternoon the guests were Invited to the parlor, where Miss Wise found a large number of beautiful and useful presents. Refreshments were served, everything being In keeping with the name "white shower." The guests were Mesdames A. H.
