ALTITUDE GOVERNS LIABILITY INSURANCE

The higher a laborer works from the ground, the higher becomes the insurance rate that his employer must pay under the workmen's compensation law. This discovery has been made by the firm of Geers & Behringer, this city, which has the contract for reroofing the Rush county court house at Rushville. Four employes of the company are working high on the tower, for each of whom the contractors must pay an insurance rate of 30 cents per day. Other men working on lower parts of the roof insured at a lower rate.
