BUSHMAN PLAYS . , IN METRO FILM AT THE COLISEUM

Francis X. Bushman and Beverly Bayne, recognized as the foremost starring combination in the silent drama, will be seen on the screen at the Coliseum on Friday in "A Million a Minute," a distinctive Metro wonderplay in five parts. The production is brimful of interest and presents a story of intrigue, romance, adventure and mystery, together with a comedy relief, which makes for the most satisfactory entertainment. These stars are supported by a strong cast which includes Robert Cummings, Helen Dunbar, John Davidson, Chas. Prince, Carl Brlckert, Mrs. Walker. Jerome Wilson, William Bailey and Mary Moore.

FATAL ERRORS COST TWO LIVES How a man's misjudgment of a woman who loves him almosts costs both of them not only their happiness but their lives, is the story of "The Primal Lure," drama of the far Northwest, in which Wm. S. Hart is starred, and which will be seen at the Murray theatre Sunday. Angus McConnell is the "factor," or manager, of an outpost of the Hudson Bay Company. Lois Le Moyne, daughter of a. trapper at the post, cherishes a secret love for him. Having made him a pair of moccasins, and embroidered his initials on them, she one day slips into his office when .she

thinks he is out, to leave them in his desk.

"It happened in Honolulu," at the Lyric Sunday. Larry Crane was a lovable ne'er-do-well. He had the best intentions in the world, and a bright, breezy personality, combined with a sunny disposition and a lack of responsibility, engendered by a long-suffering father, whose patience was almost at an end. Anyhow, Larry was of age, and had graduated from school, and his father wanted to recoup some of the "educational expenses." . Father was in the wholesale fish business and Larry cared about as much for wholesale fish as for retail hand-me-downs. And Larry was mighty fastidious. He had to be. For, while he had no passion for work, he did have a very strong one for Mabel Wyland. Mabel knew it, and returned it. But Mabel's mother had brought her daughter up intending her to many an English lord, and she sat up nights figuring how she could ensnare one.

FILM DEPICTS EVILS OF LIQUOR : , What is perhaps the most wonderful series of pictures ever presented in a photodrama will be shown at the Coliseum theatre Tuesday when "The Warning," a five-part feature on the equitable program is released. Henry Kolkery the star, has brought all his great dramatic ability into play in visualizing the terrific imagery of the story and its revelation on the screen, and the allegorical exemplification of the evils of the drink habit will strike a new note in the work of the films. There is no sermon in the picture, but there is a story so full of vivid, vital, forceful strength.

RED MEN TO DRILL WITH DRUID TEAM

"Mary's Lamb," at the Coliseum Sunday. Leander Lamb, etymologist and matrimonial martyr, hunts the savage butterfly. He is flirtatiously inclined, but doesn't know "how." Leander's one solace is the "widow next door." Her daily plunge in "the old swimming hole" interests him unduly. This leads to a chase with Mary Miranda Lamb, his lawful wedded wife, in the role of chaser. In his effort to outdistance her he lands in an institution for the mentally depressed, where the foes of depression wish to disfigure his none too beautiful skull. He ascapes, and falls into the clutches of the beautiful "widow next door," who wishes to compromise him, to aid her friend, Allen Townsend, in marrying Phyllis Atwood, Leander's niece.

WAR PRODUCES GREAT WRITERS IN THIS NATION

Robert B. Mantel!, famous tragedian who is starred with Genevieve Hamper in the William Fox photodrama, "The Spider and the Fly," at the Murrette Monday and Tuesday, declares 1 bat tho present European war has be en a boon to artists and producers irtcrcsted in the highest class of dramatic endeavor, If the jiVar keeps up a year longer, he declares that America will by that tima have developed a schocl of playwrights more than able to held its own against those of England and the .European continent.
