I WHEAT STARTS WILD tr

ON WEATHER

CHICAGO. July 27. General commission bouse buying and a rush of shorts to cover made the wheat market a wild one at the start today, with the result that prices covered a range of 4Uc September started off at 4c over yesterday's close, and an advance of 3c in Minneapolis started heavy buying. Cammlsslon house selling, however, carried prices off 4c within a few minutes. Higher cables and increasingly alarming reports from the northwest and Canada also had an effect Manitoba reports con- ' dltions worse than have been reported, and hot weather In the Dakotas all helped the flurry.. One ticker service sent out a statement from the northwest that newa is so sensational that , commission houses are not giving it ' out Corn advanced c over yesterday's close, but it was purely a weathmarket. Outside buying showed an Increase. Oats showed only a slight ' advance. Gains were shown In the wheat ' market of 3c to 4 cents. There was 1 heavy profit taking on the highest lev 4s of the session, and it caused partial setbacks. The sensational advances at Minneapolis and Winnipeg were the principal bullish helps at Chicago late in the session. Corn closed Mc to lc higher and oats were : c to Jfcc higher. Hog products showed but little change for the day.
